While at BWV OCT 11 to 16 we needed beer, went down to the screen door and notices you could only get single beers at $5.25 each. Last year I could get a 6 pk for about $12 same place. Now 6 beers at $5.25 each = $31.50 a 6 pk. We walked over to the Hess station and got same beer (coors light) 18 pk cans = $13.99 x 2 = $27.98 for 36 cans at Hess

Been going to Hess since they raised it to 12 something for a six pack...
the year before that raise it was 6 somthing which I was OK with.... I thought 12 was to much... 30

I think they did this because when you are in the parks you can only order 2 beers at once so the stores are being consistent thus the single beers. We always go to the Hess or to the grocery store.

Did someone say "beer"? How long will it be until some DVC Dis-ers organize beer runs? 3 people meet in a designated area to split cab costs to a liquor or grocery store where the prices are more down to earth. At $5.25 a bottle on property it wouldn't take long to make that cost effective.

It is a pretty good hike, but you can take a boat or bus to DtD, then walk through the DtD Parking lot, and cross the street to a Hess Station.

If you take the bus get off at the pleasure island (2ND) stop and it is a much shorter walk. Walk in the opposite direction from PI.

When you get off the bus make a right and walk straight (you would make a left to go to PI) when you get the end of the bus stops you we see a path straight across (you can walk on the grass or follow the bus stop path around and cross) follow that path about 100 feet and you will see it across the street.
You will see the Hess stion off the right just before the bus turns into PI.

They have a lot of different beers but nothing special like a real liquor store.
Bud, Coors, Corona etc the big names

Thanks for posting this. I never knew how much I was saving by not drinking on vacation. I figure I drink a lot at home to forget my troubles, but when I'm on vacation I don't need that.

been doing the hess beer run for years now,the hess at DTD across from PI stop is never more than an hour return on the buses if just getting beers.We like to stay at SSR so i would usually walk in the morning as i am an early riser.
If Staying at the epcot resorts we use the hess outside the boardwalk

We drive so we usually pack a case of beer, two cases of water and a few different flavors of sodas. We usually don't spend a great deal on drinks there, as you pointed out the Disney drink prices are astronomical. We eat in the villa for bfast and dinner but usually have lunch at the parks.

We always stop at Albertsons (exit 11) and get some groceries and beverages. I had a 12 pack of Sam Adams in the room for the week. But, I did the Beer Hop at EPCOT, and usually have a few with dinner, so I usually only have a couple when I get back to the room. The prices are high - but we only vacation once a year, so I save so I can splurge a little
