DVC AP Voucher and FP+

I had FP+ booked for the past month. I go into my account this week and all my FP+ are gone. All my reservation numbers and AP vouchers are still showing as linked.

I called Disney IT several times. They said why I can't make FP+ is because we have AP vouchers. We won't be able to make FP+ until our vouchers are activated. I tried to get an explanation as to why we had FP+ before but they didn't have much of an answer. They mentioned that they closed a known loophole.

I suggested the website should let you know this instead of having everything look fine. They also had no answer for why I could make FP+ for my last day forward if my AP wasn't activated.

Basically the issue is that I have room only reservations with only a voucher.

Hopefully this can help someone else.

I would be very angry after all the planning to pick the right time for FP+ and then have them all canceled! I have AP will call number and have linked it to MDE.
What loophole are they talking about? It seems a little unfair to punish people for ordering their AP over the phone or online. I have already spent the money. Why shouldn't I be able to book FP+.

Are your vouchers linked to your resort stay? Ive read that there is a problem if they are not linked. DW and I linked our vouchers to our stay and had no problem getting FP+ ressies. Just looked and they are still there for our stay in Nov.

We had AP will call numbers that loaded into MDE with no issues. They still show there. What do you need to do link to your specific resort reservation?

The loophole they mentioned was allowing people with vouchers to book FP+ at all. Basically they said it should only be for people with packages booked.

The more I think about it the angrier I am. Does anyone know the email address for guest communication?

I hope this is resolved quick! We ordered our AP vouchers last week so we could get them in time to set up FP, and be ready to go when we get there. The rest of the trip is linked, and all I need is the voucher number to link it. I THOUGHT.

Is there a reason you got a voucher instead of getting a Will Call #. Will Call # are very easy to link to MDE and allow you too book your Fastpass.

Have you talked to Member Services?

Not yet. Do you think they would be able to help? I can see the AP's in my MDE account.

I agree, you should talk to MS. My husband has a will call PAP and has 14 days worth of FP+ booked. Sor far still today they are there. Good luck.

I am so interested in knowing the outcome to this. We had PAP's that expired 10/1/13 that we got the first day of the PAP special last year. We are going to be at WDW on 12/1/13, so I did my online check-in yesterday hoping I would see fastpass+ available for me and it's not there. I asked the DVC member services online if I will be eligible and they gave me the speel of its only a trial blah blah blah, no direct answer. One of the ?s I had asked was do I need a current ticket. So now reading this thread I wonder instead of waiting until we are there in December 1 to buy are new APs should I go ahead and purchase ahead of time and get a will call#, link it to my ressie and then be able in to have fast pass+ available to me?

Member Services wasn't able to help. They could see my tickets but that was it. I called IT back again. I spoke to someone a little more helpful. There is a known issue where it is not letting people with vouchers to book FP+. The system should let you but it isn't. I have to wait until I activate the pass and then make FP+. It didn't seem that there was going to be a fix anytime soon. They agreed it was weird that I had the FP+ and then they got deleted but no other solution.

Any more word from those above who said they still had their FP+?

Also, no one responded to the OP's question for whether there was more to do to link your AP vouchers (linked to MDE via will call number) to your resort stay. Any more guidance on that question?

I've got Dec points reservation and PAPs to activate when we get there, and would really like to make FP+ reservations.

Do you have vouchers in hand or a will call # to use when you pick them up.

Will call # work easily and the vouchers are having issues, though somewhere I read someone was able to scan theirs with the app and get it to work.

Will call #s definitely work and are easy to set up. I have never purchased vouchers so not sure what the issue with them is.

If you want to book in advance I recommend buying them online and getting the will call #.

I have my will call number loaded in, and each of my 5 PAPs "linked" to a member of my party in the MDE system. It shows up like that in the "My Reservations" page.

I don't check in until 12/30, so I don't guess I can do anything else at this point, but I'm trying to get it ready for when I can.

It sounded like the OP had will call numbers too, but perhaps s/he was mistaken.

Sounds like you have done all the prelim work.

And hopefully, the OP's experience is an anomaly and not the result of a "bug" having been "fixed".

The last time I spoke with IT they agreed that this error shouldn't be happening. The IT person before them said it was a bug being fixed. So the usual conflicting stories from Disney.

I believed the second IT person more. She made it seem that this was a known error and that a lot of people were having this issue. I hope for everyone's sake that they get this fixed. They didn't seem to think I would have any chance of being fixed in the next two weeks before our trip. Apparently, Guest Services will be able to make all of my FP+ for me when we activate our vouchers. We will see.

I expressed my concern that everything had been working fine but then everything got deleted with no warning. If I hadn't logged back into my account we could have shown up at our first attraction to be turned away. Not a very good guest experience.
