DVC AP Renewal

I just renewed my DH's AP over the phone...I think! I have never done it before so I don't know if it was done right.

When I called she did not ask for any information about DH's AP. She charged me the renewal price and said a voucher would be mailed to me. I said "this is for my husband pass right?" and she said yes. Now his pass expired in November, so his 30 for renewal are almost up. When we go in February can he just use the voucher (knowing the pass would run from Oct when his old pass expired).

Anyone renew over the phone like this before?

Renewal vouchers don't actually have a name attached to them. When you take it to WDW to activate, they will look up his information (or give them the expired pass) and then issue the actual renewal AP.

It will work even though his AP will have been expired for 4 months by the time we go? (I know the renewal will be from Oct, when it expired, not when we actually pick it up)

I don't know. The renewal vouchers can be bought at any time, but I thought you had to redeem them to renew the pass within 30 days before or after it expired. I would give them a call.

No, the vouchers can be used at any time. However, the renewed AP will have a start date that begins where the previous AP ended, no matter when you use the voucher.

Thanks! That is what both people at Disney said when I called both times but for some reason it always makes me feel better to have someone on here confirm!

When we renewed our APs they gave us a confirmation code over the phone then sent us a "Ticket Order Confirmation," with bar code, via email for us to print and present at will call when we pick up our passes. We've done this in the past with no problems.

Thanks! I have never renewed and read something that said you could only do it 30 days before or after and really didn't know what that meant.
