I bought thru MS the renewal for our DVC APs.. I was given the certificate number or whatever, and was able to link that to MB and get FP+ for that.. Do we need to worry about getting our physical AP's right away or should the linked MB's work already?

I was told at Epcot gate that you have to exchange the voucher for a pass before you can enter the park. You can do this at any ticket window-it doesn't need to be guest services.

Just a standard ticket window, and hand them the voucher, your ID, and your DVC card, and they should have you taken care of within a couple minutes.

My friend did this in November. BC the AP isn't technically activated yet, you can't use the MB to get into the park. You need to go to Guest Services so they can activate it, but it's already linked to your MB.

:)

We recently did this. What is in your account and thus on the bands is the receipt number for the passes. Those will not work for entry into the parks. You must go to the parks and actually get the APs (plastic cards) and then have those matched to the bands (at the parks or back ar the resort); once that is done the AP numbers will replace the receipt numbers in your MDE account and the plastic cards will actually show up in addition to your bands as cards you can keep activiated (or deactivate) and use in lieu of the bands.

Keep both your cards and your bands active. You can use the AP cards to pull legacy FP, as long as that lasts (see Theme Parks threads, Disney shut them off completely at AK starting yesterday-unknown if they will be back on or not...)

And also, since both the pass card and the MB are active via RFID chip, you can tap your card on the Mickey readers anywhere (including ride entrances) and use it, if you lose or prefer not to wear a MB.
