DVC AP question

Hopefully someone can help us out with this one.
If we want to upgrade our MYW tix to AP what do we need to do to get the DVC discount? Can this be done at a guest relation window or only through MS? At the window do we only have to show the KTTK card that says DVC Member on it?

To get an AP, you need your blue DVC member card (not the KTTW) and photo ID's for all adults present showing the same address as the DVC member.

I bought my DVC-discounted AP at the MK guest services, so I think that's where you go.

When you purchase an AP on property, they are already active. The biometric scan is just to make sure that only one person uses that pass.

Everyone has to be present and show photo ID as stated above to prove residence in the DVC Member's household. The Member must present the Blue DVC Membership card, not the KTTW card. We usually purchase ours at DTD.

Everyone doesn't have to be present.

I have purchased APs for my immediate family many times without them with me. I head to the park a little ahead of everyone else just to save us all a bit of time. I do take their ids though for proof of residency and as mentioned the blue DVC card. I also take our old APs even if they have expired as I think it helps them retrieve the info. At any rate, they always take them and then hand them back at the end for a souvenir.

We are new DVC-BWV. We currently have APs but would hope to renew with DVC discount. Will we still get the $100 discount now that we are DVC if we renew our non-DVC purchased APs?

I would think you would as long as you show your membership card.

Yes. We've did this our first year. As long as you remember your blue member card because they have to enter the information from your card to their database at least 3 times on different screens. As others have said, adults need their picture ID with address.

Based on your signature and some of your other posts, I'm guessing you are not a DVC member, is that correct? If you are not a member, you are not entitled to the discount on APs.

Except it's not $100 discount for a renewal last I knew. Isn't it more like $75 discount?

Depending on your plans, it may make sense to just purchase new APs with the DVC discount.

I saw the earlier post too about renting points. Only members are entitled to perks.
