OK, they say the current price of the PAP for DVC members is $484, right? I've tried a variety of sites, and either I can't find it or they're not updated. What is the current price of the DVC AP? My understanding is that the only difference between the AP and PAP is really the water parks, and we're not water park people. The only reason I have a PAP right now is because the last "sale" made it cheaper than the AP. So how do the two compare price wise now?

Right now the current prices are $464 for an AP and $584 for a PAP. The PAP special is for $484 starting 2/6, it goes until sometime in April and you have until 1/31/15 to activate it.

I just looked on the Member website and it looks to me that for right now they have replaced the old regular AP offer with the new PAP offer. I'm not sure you can get the old AP right now. At least I didn't see it there. This was changed in the last hour as I did see it earlier this morning.

The DVC AP is still available for purchase. The price is unchanged, but not displayed on the member website currently.

I wonder if there is going to be an upgrade path from the AP we may have now to the new PAP and it be discounted even further (as renewals usually are).

If you upgrade from an AP to a PAP, you will pay the difference between the price you paid for the AP and the current price of the PAP. The expiration date will remain the same as before the upgrade.

There is no DVC AP showing on the WDW site either, so maybe the new PAP with DVC special price is all we can get from now on? It makes no difference to me as this is a great deal - we are not water park people either, but having it last year was great for hubby to get in free rounds of golf at Oak Trail every other day, we popped into Blizzard Beach for a nice morning on the Lazy River, and were able to pop into Disney Quest on a rainy afternoon for something to do, all at no extra cost. We aren't going until 2015, but will be buying our passes for sure with this discount.

The regular DVC AP is still available. The pricing is no longer shown on the member site once they put up the promo information.

I called and the DVC AP price for an adult ticket is $494. this is the regular price, not the renewal

The last time I bought the DVC AP for $399, there was a link on the member website for purchasing the AP. It was kind of hidden, with having to go under the Perks, etc. I would imagine they will do the same this year once it's available.

This PAP pricing is a special offer and not a renewal so there would not be any further discount. On the Member site, they suggest that you purchase the PAP before 4/30/14 and activate it once your current AP expires and all of the PAPs from the 2012 discount offer will expire at the end of 2014 -with this offer, the new pass just needs to be activated by 1/31/15.

I would definitely take advantage of this in place of a regular renewal. I would not upgrade an active AP, since the new PAP would still expire when the current AP is due to expire. If you already have a voucher for an AP, you should be able to credit that towards the new PAP by going to Guest Services and then activate it when you want to start using it (up until 1/31/2015). You'd still need to do that by 4/30/14.

Thanks. That makes plenty of sense in the context of it all.

Ok we have a PAP from previous 399 deal. We are going in March and the PAP expires in march. So are we better off to renew PAP or get the current deal?

A new DVC PAP under the upcoming promo is $484 plus 6.5% sales tax. Normal pricing for a new DVC PAP is $584 plus tax.

The renewal price for a DVC PAP is $494 plus tax.

Thanks I have been having issues with getting on the Disney site. Looks like promo will save a few bucks and I gain a few weeks vs renewal.
