Just wondering if anyone knows from the past what the average price increase is for the DVC AP? I understand past history has this happen first Sunday every August? Just trying to see if it is worth renewing now or Dec 2010?

Instead of renewing, we buy new vouchers before the increases. We still have a couple from 2 years ago.

Depending on how often you visit WDW, buying new can sometimes save you money.

So you are saying that you buy a voucher for a new AP and you can keep it indefinitely before activating it?

That's correct, and the 12 months doesn't start until you exchange the voucher for the AP at WDW.

We are going to Disney World August 15. I would love to get in on the AP before any price increase. My problem is that I will be exchanging GAD vouchers towards the price. Is there any way I can do that now or am I out of luck if they increase the AP price before I go?

You can also buy the vouchers for renewal well in advance. I have enough renewal vouchers for the next 3 years for DH and me.

No way around it! Sorry. You have to exchange your GAD vouchers in person.

Bill THANKS for this info. Where does one buy these vouchers from?

DVC Members can access the DVC AP discount page through the member website.

Non-members through the regular Disney website.

Buying the AP actually buys you the voucher which can be mailed to your home if you wish.

Exchanging the voucher requires a DVC Member card and a picture ID for each adult. Exchanges can be made at Guest Services at each park and DTD.

Anythings possible with Disney. :goodvibes

As I PP we are still using vouchers from a couple of years ago so the process may have been changed.

I was told the same thing last month when I purchased annual pass vouchers. The CM said they don't mail them out anymore and when I asked how I can access the AP members website without it, she seemed a little confused. It's been crazy the last few weeks so I haven't stressed over the issue but I would like access to the AP site for some prices for an extra trip we are hoping to take. The way I look at it is an extra trip will really make buying the AP worthwhile. ;)

I just renewed mine yesterday thru MS. They give you a confirmation number - there are no vouchers mailed out.

Is it only the renewal vouchers they don't send or is it the new ones also? TIA

Boy, do I feel dense this morning! You mean when i renew my DVC AP online it does not use the purchase date as the start date of the AP, but only starts after you exchange the voucher for your AP at the park?
