I know that immediate family members residing in the same household as the member are eligible for the AP Discount. My question is, does the DVC member have to be present for those family members to get the discount? Or can I take my mom's DVC card to Disney with me, and present it with my ID and get the discount? And if I can, does it matter that we have different last names? She's got my stepdad's last name. I do not.

Technically the member needs to be present with the correct ID. You might get a CM who will let you purchase, but there are no guaranties.

We are going in November. If we buy AP vouchers ahead of time, where do we redeem them for the actual AP? Also does the 1 year start when we actually redeem the voucher? And do I just order the vouchers from WDW web site? Thank you! Never had an AP before!

That is my question. We already purchased our brand new AP's and have the green cards to exchange them at the gate, can we use a 10% coupon at that time and get some sort of a refund??? I sure hope so.:confused3
How do we get the coupons, will our guides mail them?

Check on the Theme Parks board. This question jas been asked by several people.

I believe your only option is to get a refund for your voucher. Then when you get there purchase new APs with the Pass Along Savings Card.

DVCNews.com also has a swap thread.http://dvcnews.com/forum/showthread.php?p=37819

I believe they need to purchased at Guest Services with the AP voucher. I thought I read that you can not use a "green voucher" with AP's that have already been purchased.

If you purchased our tickets at the world after May 1 without the discount card then I believe you can somehow get a refund if you send in an AP voucher & your receipt for your AP's.

The link that someone posted above has a lot of information though. Check there to be sure.

Can I purchase an AP with the DVC discount for my fiance that lives with me? I am the DVC member and only my name is on the paperwork.

You can if he has photo ID like a drivers license with your address on it they will let you buy him an AP.

One more question...Here in NJ when you change your address you dont actually need a new license, they give you a sticker to place on the back of your license with your new address. Do you think Disney would give us a problem? Should we bring another piece of mail with his name and my address on it?

Have your mom call and speak to Member Services. I had to do this in March when my kids traveled to WDW with my inlaws. I purchased the AP's over the phone via MS, and then my MIL picked them up at will call. My oldest did have to show his DL to show that he lived with me. The expiration date is one year from the day that they picked them up, not the day that I called to purchase them.

You can redeem the vouchers at any of the ticket windows at any of the parks or at Downtown Disney. I usually do mine at the International Gateway entrance to EPcot, as it seems to be less busy.

The one year does start from the date that you redeem your voucher. Just make sure that you check the pass when you get it, just to make sure.

In order to get the DVC discount, you must order the pass thru the DVC member site. Click on Member Privileges, then Member Perks.

They have been strict with this since the policy states "must be a member of the immediate family.." You can try, but I would not count on it.

Can you combine the 10% discount with the member rate? I would be surprised if they allowed you to "stack" discounts.

Can anyone confirm this with actual real Disney World experience?

I read on another thread that you could (posted by a CM), but I'm still curious if anyone has managed to get both.

Since offers of the AP discount card (as well as those seeking them) are off topic and not DVC specific, Theme Park Attractions & Strategies is the place to visit and post there regarding them.

This thread will remain to discuss the DVC discount aspect, but will be closed if further postings seeking discount cards continue. Thanks everyone....
