This has probably been answered before, but my searches have not found the answer.. so apologies!

Here's our scenerio:

We've already purchased 1 AP for my DH which we will activate on our first trip in Mar 2006.

Since my DH already purchased the AP, are we eligible for the Dining Plan if we only purchase 3 MYW tickets or is it a requirement that we buy a MYW park tickets for all members of the party staying in a particular room?

If we book two rooms, can we just get the dining plan for the people staying in one of the rooms? (We plan on putting 4 people in a 1BR and 6 people in a 2 BR for our Sept 06 trip.)

While the details have not yet been fully announced, I would make the following assumptions from the reports posted by members attending the annual meetings.

1) It does not matter what kind of park ticket anyone on the room has, but all folks in the same room must have the meal plan - all or nothing.

2) Since you have two rooms booked, under different ressie numbers, each room should be able to make the decision about whether the persons in it want the dining pan or not, as long as everyone in that particular room is either on the plan, or not on the plan.

And , I'm wondering if the Dining Plan vouchers are transferrable?
I've read somewhere that my DH and I can use our kids TS vouchers.

So...this makes me wonder if we buy the dining plan for 4 people in the 1BR, is it legal for any of the 10 people in our party to use the DDP vouchers? (The party of 10 consists of four 5 yr olds and six adults.)

If yes, it seems like combining the DDE with the DP would be the ultimate in savings as we surely would use the 4 person vouchers by 10 people..

Since this seems too good to be true, its probably not legal!
To know for sure, I will need to ask MS, although I wonder if they even know the answer at this point since it's so new..

Thanks for the answer clarifying that the DDP is not linked to park ticket purchases since I've been holding off buying myself an AP since I thought it might affect my decision to buy the DDP!.. all of these confusing dependencies is almost comical :rotfl:

It goes like this: DVC->AP*1->DDE <= (MYW+PH+NoExp*3*10) + (DDP*4)
I'm an engineer, so I've started to find myself doing these pseudo mock eqns in my sleep !! :rotfl2:

I notice you plan to go in March. I think the DDP doesn't start until April. I realize all the details are not out yet, but I recall you can start booking in Jan for stay starting in April.

Hi Bill,

Thinking about DDP for our Sept '06 trip with 6 adults and 4 kids..

I have a related question....

We are DVC members staying at the BWV in June - so I know we can get the dining plan during our stay. But, we are staying 2 nights at the Boardwalk Inn using our AP discount 2 nights before we check into the BWV. Can we get the dining plan for those 2 nights as well? Just curious....

I would guess no, unless they open up the DP to all discounted AP holder ressies. Those ressies are not booked through DVC.

Thanks for the info Chuck...that is what I was thinking as well...o well....we have the DDE, so we can use that for 2 days... :flower:

I'm still waiting for the official facts. :Pinkbounc
