Have I got this right? If I purchase DVC AP on line and ask for will call, I can use the confirmation number to link those AP to my MDE prior to my 60 days so I can book Fastpass plus ?

I called yesterday to renew AP and received my confirmation #. My PAP expires on 10/29 and we are not arriving this year until 10/31 so I have that time period with no pass. The cast member at MS told me that I could not do FP+ on the 60 days out because it is linked to the AP # not the confirmation #. I specifically asked her if I could use the confirmation # and she said no, that when I pick up the new AP, then I could link it to FP+. You have to have a ticket # not the confirmation #. They are learning just as we are so there is a possibility that she was mistaken.
I know that they are new to this also since when I went renew my PAP (which I took advantage of like so many of us), I was told that I could not get the AP renewal rate. I checked it out and found out that I was able to get the rate. Yesterday, there was not even a question if I was going to renew my PAP or go back to my AP, she just gave me the AP renewal rate.
I have two Disney e-mail addresses. My BOG confirmation # is on one address and everything else is on the other and they were unable to link them together. The only thing they could do is if I go on "My Itinerary", I can see the BOG dinner.
I'll give it a try later on the confirmation # for FP+.

So now when I pull up my account it shows his future ap linked only. I heard there was a problem linking the new green ap to our MDE account, so I guess that's why I can't link mine. So no problem linking confirmation numbers so far.
Go to your My Disney Experience home page. On the right it says link tickets. Go to that page and enter in your ticket/confirmation numbers. It will then link it. You should be able to do FP+ 60 days out. Go back to the home page and click on Fast Pass. Follow the steps. It's relatively easy.

We actually had to call in and have tech support link our green APs to our MDE account. They would not work in anyway online, even for tech support it took almost 2 weeks.
But, they are there now, with the expiry date listed, and we are VERY excited to use them again in May !!!
