DVC anual park pass, trade in 1 day tic from dining plan?

I'm thinking this can be done, but I was just wondering how it would work.

We have a September trip coming up staying at POFQ with the free dining plan. We purchased a 1 day base ticket to qualify for the free dining promotion.

Since then, we have become DVC members at SSR. However, we decided to go ahead and keep the POFQ reservation and save our SSR points for next year.

So the question is, now that I am a DVC member, can I purchase the discounted annual pass, and credit the 1 day base ticket $$ towards that purchase? And where could I do this? Front desk at POFQ or would I have to go to a DVC? Also, we would want to be sure our free dining plan stays in tact.

We have 8 days or so of non expiring hopper passes to cover us in the future(that's why we only purchased the 1 day base ticket) but with trips planned for September and January, I started thinking the annual pass may make sense (and save our non expiring passes for the following year).

Anyone know if we can do this?

guest services at any of the parks or DD - just remember you need your ID plus your blue DVC membership card. also remember to take your 1-day ticket (resort ID) too.

Would they then remove the 1 day base ticket from our POFQ room keys, and leave the dining plan in tact on that card and return it to us? Then issue a separate annual pass?

We are doing a kind of similar thing with the Dining Plan. We are DVC members but are staying in mid August (18 - 21) at POR. To get the free Dining Plan we had to buy 1 day tickets for everyon ein our party. We are using them at a later date to renew our Florida Resident Seasonal Passes. Since we planned this we did a 50 point add-on so we get 2 more Adult 1 day tickets. I specifically asked out Vacation Guide and he said we can use all of the 1 day tickets to upgrade to Seasonal Passes whenever we want. The 1 day tickets do not expire.

Just to be clear on this, you can only apply one ticket to each SP you purchase or renew. If your guide told you that you can use more than one on a single SP, he/she is incorrect.

I had 2 different CM's and my guide tell me I could do it.
