DVC Annual Passholders watch your discounts.

We are DVC members with a Sorcerer annual passes currently at WDW and have had some issues getting the 30% Merch discount at some places. Some CM’s don’t know want a Sorcerer Pass is. Some also look at the Pass on your phone and Just see the “Disney Vacation Club header and give you the DVC discount instead.

As for checking, some CM’s will take your word for it, some want to see your ID as well, one would only accept the Disney app version, not the apple wallet one (only last initial) and Photo ID.

Our MM cards in our Apple Wallet still show ANNUAL even though our APs expired months ago, so I'm not surprised they want to see the AP with expiration date in the MDE app. It is indeed aggravating to have to open two different places to prove DVC-Y vs. an AP!

We are experiencing similar. One cast member at rock n’ roller coaster refused to apply the discount unless we had a dated annual pass showing the expiration but wouldn’t explain how to show that (we always use the apple wallet). I’m betting she wanted the app, like you said, which as I’m now seeing shows the expiration. We left without a purchase because we had no idea how to show that.
