We have 2 days left from our MYW package from a couple of years ago, can we use that against an annual pass when we buy it?

No. All upgrades must be done within 14 days of the first use, and you are no longer allowed to apply the remaining value of a partially used ticket to a new ticket if you are outside the 14 days.

You wouldn't want to do that anyway, even if it was allowed The MYW tickets are heavily front loaded. The last days of the ticket are worth a lot less than the first days, so your credit could be a little as $8 or $9 per day remaining, depending on the number of days on the original ticket.

Better for you $$ wise to just use the remaining days for park admission. I assumed that the partially used ticket has the "no-expiration" feature. If it doesn't, then the tickets aren't good for anything now.

We never actually used the 2 days as that is all we purchased at the time of booking the package, as we are from the UK & had already bought UK tickets?

If these are new, unused tickets, then yes, you can upgrade them. If you use them to enter a park first, then go to Guest Relations, you should get today's value for them.

So we would just take these tickets to guest services & ask for them to be upgarded to Annual passes & we would still get the DVC discount?

Yes. As Sandi posted, you will get more $$ as a credit if you use the tickets to enter a park. Then go to Guest Relations and ask to upgrade. You will pay the difference between the current gate price of the MYW tickets and the DVC APs.

Again, be sure to have your DVC membership card and a photo ID when you do the upgrade. Also, figure out what you will need to pay ahead of time and if the amount is different (more), ask the CM why - sometimes they forget to do the intermediate step of bringing the MYW ticket up to current gate price.

I have done the above with our unused tickets and it worked like a charm.

If I use one of the days though to enter the park, won't they only give me credit for the remaining day? I paid around $139 for the 2 days.

No it doesn't work that way. You pay the difference between the original price of the ticket you have and the one you want. Using it for entry ensures they credit you with the current gate price of the ticket and not any lesser amount you might have paid a few years ago.
