I have never bought one before, but am considering it. Does anybody know anything about DVC APs? How much is the adult one? Are there any black out dates where we can't use it? Benefits?

$369 with DVC discount. Renewal is $324. No blackout dates. It is good for 1 year. There is a booklet with the ticket that tells you what discounts are available. 10% discount at world of disney store in DTD. The ability to buy the Tables of Wonderland card, discount on minigolf. There are many more, I just can't remember what they are right now! We get the annual pass and find it to be a real moneysaver for our trips. We tend to visit 3 or 4 times a year, and this way the room is paid for, we don't need tickets, we just have to pay for food.

Thanks so much for your help. How does it work? Do I call and order it from MS and then pick it up at the park? Do I have a year's access from the day I buy it or activate it?

You can purchase one of three ways. You can call MS or purchase via the member website. With these two options, you will have to go to Guest Services to get your actual pass. Your time begins once you pick it up. You can also purchase them at WDW at any Guest Services or Ticket Window. Regardless of the purchase method, you will need to show your membership card at the time of purchase or pickup if prepaid. All adults aged 18 and over need to have government issued ids with the same address as the member.

We just purchased annual passes at Guest Relations last month, and they are no longer giving the booklet with the passes. We were told that all the info on passholder discounts could be found online. This is supposedly in an effort to "go green." However, when I said I wanted something that I could take into the parks with me, the CM offered to make me a printout of the annual pass discounts.....SEVEN 8.5 x 11 sheets of paper! Now tell me how this uses less paper than the previous booklet!

Assuming the $369 is just for the 4 major parks, and water parks are more, correct ?

You would have to purchase a Premium AP to include the water parks & DisneyQuest. A new DVC Adult PAP is $474 plus 6.5% sales tax.

This past year we bought 1 a month until we had all 4. We just renewed for our THREE trips this year!!! :cool1: :goodvibes

If we purchase through the member website, do I click the will call option? Will I still get something in the mail? I am not going until March 1, but I thought it would be great to get this paid for in advance. Thanks

If you select 'Will Call' you will only have your order confirmation number. You would have to pay for one of the other shipping option to have an exchange voucher mailed to you. Either way, you still have to go to Guest Services to get the actual AP.

2 summers ago we ordered PAP's and they sent us a voucher in the mail to take to Guest Relations. I used a number on the certificate to call and order the DDE card (now TIW card) so we'd have both before we went. At the time I didn't realize there was another option.

If we want to buy the TIW card again can we simply purchase it at Guest Relations too with our Membership card and AP's? I was thinking I might go ahead & order our AP's ahead of time tho as I am afraid that will be the next perk they take away from us. We are trying to plan 3 trips on the AP's so I def. want them. And if we decide to wait on buying the AP's we could purchase them AND the TIW card together, right?

Thanks! I have no problem paying the shipping, I was afraid that if I did that I would get the actual card and that my year would start from that date...

Our trip isn't until October but I am most likely going to purchase a DVC AP voucher next month for 2 reasons; 1) I want to lock in the price in case of a ticket price increase and 2) I want as much of our trip payed for in advance as possible.
If I do this, can I order and pre-pay for a TIW card as well, or does this need to be done once I have exchanged the voucher for the actual AP at Guest Services on arrival?
TIA

That is correct you can purchase the TIW card right at Guest Relations with your APs or both APs & TIW if you decide to wait.

I just wanted to clarify one more time---so I can buy it now online but not activate it until say...September??
Just want to make sure we dont lose out. Thanks!:thumbsup2

The AP's are activated on the first day that you actually USE them to enter a park. Last time we ordered ours in June but didn't GO until August 16. That became the expiration date on them for the following year.
