DVC Annual Meeting notes - 12/9/09

I'm so glad VWL waited this long to replace the TVs. We saved a ton of money versus buying them even two years ago.

Sorry I missed you Mike. I was in the front left of the floor.

One other note if I may. Jim Lewis hinted to a second "Doorway to Dreams" opening in the New York City area.

I left after 2 hours as we had early dinner reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern before MVMCP (it was sold out).

I was wondering what I missed. I was hoping to hear the Q&A at the end. Did any interesting questions come up?

Sorry for the silly question but what is soft goods replacement at VB.... Im hoping it is beds and pullouts because they are DREADFUL!!!!!

Thanks Mike...

Any details about Grand California Villas??

I missed that part, but I heard from another member that DVC said pre-sales for the Villas at the Grand Californian will start by the end of January 2009 and that it should open in November 2009.

There was a rep from RCI at the meeting, but I missed his presentation. I did hear that there will be a "short stay" type program similar to II, but I don't have any details.

Was anyone here able to stay for Q&A at the end?

I'm very interested to hear if the new booking policy was brought up, what management said about it, and what the members had to say as well.

Thanks for posting the info Mike! I wish we were there, but at least we know what happened. Enjoy the rest of your vacation. :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the updates. Great info, I am also interested in what transpired during the Q&A popcorn::

Thanks Mike & ADP.

Was there any discussion of bus service? I have seen some really bad bus service on this trip.

Thanks, being a new owner we've never been to one of these, so it's nice to see what gets talked about!

Thanks for taking the time out of your vacation to keep us all updated Mike. Looking forward to the flat panels at VWL. Not that we spend much time watching TV

Thanks for the wonderful update! It looks like I might be getting GCV for my B-Day.

What exciting news about VGC! I trust DVCMike and he talked to somone in person who was also at the meeting. For me, this elevates the news above a typical rumor.

I was hoping sales would begin later in the Spring - just so we can save up more cash beforehand. But oh well, the bonus of this is that we get to watch things unfold sooner rather than later. popcorn::

Does anyone besides me think that the minimum add on will be 100 points - like at BLT? Yikes, that is a little more than we planned on !
