DVC and Key to the World

Search as I may, I couldn't find the answer to this question. When we are staying on points and buy our tickets independent of the reservation, do we still get a "Key to the World" card? I love the convenience of having everything on one card.

BTW, I love the DIS boards.

If you want your admission media on your key card, I believe you can do that as long as you don't have an AP. We always have APs, so haven't thought about that for a long time. We have had guests with hoppers on their keys, so I suspect you can do the MYW tickets on there too.

If you get the MYW, it can be put on your KTTW card. IIRC, though, if your "ticket" is not for the same amount of time as your DVC stay, that may not work.

I love my KTTW cards too! It's just soo sad when you get home and they don't work anymore, though.

Isn't KTTW is just another name for your room key/resort ID?

AFAIK, you can have MYW tickets put on your room key now even if you buy them elsewhere. It may depend on the individual CM when yo check in, though. However, apparently it is easier to do now that it was before MYW tickets.

I was just there in May and I called to make sure my daughters and husbands tickets were going to be able to be KTTW. I was about to purchase my tickets but it was within 1 week of my departure. I had called CRO to purchase the tickets and orginally I called CRO to book my first night at the AKL, they said no problem to KTTW and I bought my tickets over the phone.

My brother in law purchased his room over the internet (different type of ressie #) and was told he needed to cancel and rebook his room over the phone if he wanted KTTW tickets. It was certaintly a pain. He hadn't purchased any tickets at that point.

Both our ressies at the AKL were a weekend stay (room only) and then we went to BWV on pts. There was no problem at either the desk at AKL or BWV with the KTTW but I have no idea why he had to change his ressie so he could get KTTW.

Anyone know?
