DVC and Grand Gatherings

There will be 14+ people joining us in November for our anniversary celebration. We are using our points for everyone and are all listed under the same travel i.d. Can we use the Grand Gathering service, and if so, do I need to do anything? When we stayed at POFQ as a larger group a few years ago, CRO inicated that we were a Grand Gathering on our reseravation.

If a Grand Gathering is not an option for DVC members, what do you do for large group reservations (ie-dining)?

call member services and ask them to obtain a grand gathering number for you. Member services can note the GG# on your reservation the same as CRO did at POFQ.

When I made my reservation I just asked to be a grand gathering and they connected me to the appropriate people. It helps guarantee that your rooms will be nearby one another but not necessarily next to each other. I'm just hoping for the same floor at BWV.

Thank you! I am assuming that GG can make regular dining reservations for large groups, and not just the special Grand Gathering experiences. Is this true?

What exactly is a grand gathering and does it cost anything extra?

The agent I talked to today said that I could only do GG celebrations through their department, not dining. (Which doesn't make sense to me...but oh well. Either way, I'll be up early on 4/4.)

Yellowfish - that is correct - to book one of the grand gathering events, you go through that department.

To book dining, you can go through the group dining area at 407-939-7707. Sometimes when you call the regular dining number you get an agent that can do group dining.
