Can one take advantage of the free dining being offered if you use DVC?

You can't take advantage of free dining or any WDW discounts if you are renting points at a DVC resort. You can apply a free dining discount if you are booked at a DVC resort/villa through Disney reservations and are paying full rack rate prices. Free Dining is actually the reason we have never bought DVC or rented DVC points.

Free dining is offered only with package reservations including a room at rack rate and at least 2 day park tickets for each guest age 3 and over. It is not available with DVC points reservations.
