DVC 8th year Christmas Tree, Sharing a Little DVC Holiday Magic

We are at AKL Kidani village from December 7-15 and would love a tree if possible.

Hi,

This will be our first WDW and DVC Christmas! We're very excited. I plan to bring down a small decorated tree (it's about 3 feet) and don't mind leaving it for the next family.

We are willing to provide a second tree at Bay Lake. We were fortunate to participate in the sharing experience at Saratoga Springs last year and feel like we should step up at our new DVC home. We'll be at Bay Lake Dec. 1-9. We have the basic idea of what to do, but please let us know details as necessary and forgive us if we have to ask a question or two before sending.

Just spotted our names added to the AKV thread - I am so excited - thank you so much.

This is our first ever trip to WDW for the holidays, infact it is our first ever trip away from home over christmas ever (and for me its the first Christmas in 36 years apart from my mom) - so thank you so much for helping to make it so special for us - I really do appreciate it - thanks so much for organising it and thank you so much to everyone kind enough to donate trees for us all!!

Just spotted our names on the AKL - Kidani list and I am SO excited as well!! We are taking my mom, and aunt and uncle (2nd parents) - with us and our boys. It is all the grandparents first trip and a surprise for my uncle - just mailed the announcement package today - and I was in tears about being able to tell him we have a tree for our room! He LOVES christmas and the decorations - took after his big brother (my dad who is deceased). I can't wait for them to all see the magic of Disney at christmas and knowing we will have it in our room as well - WOW!!! How do we find out who is making our tree to see if we can help by donating extra items? Also, does anyone know if you can do lights on the balconies at AKL? I wondered because of the animals. We have done them at BLT and the boys loved seeing our home on the way back home on the monorail Thanks again for all you do to coordinate this wonderful tree share!!!!!

Looks like I'm the week before you! I'm so excited to be on the list too. It's our first full blown Christmas time trip. I think WDWSTAR is the one donating the tree for our group. I can't wait to see it! It's a surprise for half our guests. The other half know about it. Don't worry, we'll have the tree down to the front desk/bell services by 11am on the 11th! Oh - and congrats on your wedding. DH & I will be celebrating our 14th anniversary while we're there (12/7).

THANK YOU WDWSTAR for adding us to the list, for donating the tree, and for organizing this huge exchange. (I apologize if I forgot anything on that list). We are so looking forward to this trip.

Now, if only the next 121 days would go by quickly...

We are there the 10th-17th... That sounds fun and then I can meet a fellow Dis person. . I am so excited, it seems like forever that we were there in May for StarWars Weekends.
And thank you... I am hoping it will be a magical trip. We booked the honeymoon photo package in Epcot. So I am looking forward to that and just all of the Christmas Magic.

Just curious - about how much is the donation you put in when you leave it for the next person? Is the cash attached to the tree box? Maybe I'm reading it wrong but does money accumulate for that time period? This is such a great idea and nice that luggage services helps with this. And that the money stays safe!!

I've put in about $10 each year.

ETA: The cash is INSIDE the sealed tree box...in an envelope. It shouldn't be accessible from the outside.
