DVC 7th Year Christmas Tree Sharing a Little Holiday Magic.

For those of you who have enjoyed one of the BLT trees, where did you pick it up? Is the front of the Contemporary still under construction? Did you ask about the boxes at check-in or when you unloaded luggage with bell services (which was over by the convention center when we stayed in Sept)?

Thanks for the help! One more sleep until we arrive (well, two more until we check-in to BLT)!

We just got back from a rainy but fun few days in WDW and just wanted to thank wdwstar and those who donated a tree. It was so nice to have a little bit of christmas in our room. Thanks again and Merry Christmas to all.

I'm back! SSR Tree #3 cant-find-her....can I change me dis name to that?

Anyhoo... after I get Lundvc pm I all but camped out at bell services the next day. Asked EVERY employee that walked by...nobody could find it. FINALLY I asked for a manager. I explained what I was looking for and he went in and came back basically in under 30 seconds with box! So, I'm conviced the others barely looked. We thoroughly enjoyed the tree (thanks CHELLYMOUSE!!!) We even had Santa come on night while the kids were in the pool ...and 7 little kids toor into dozens of inexpensive WDW themed Xmas presents yelling "Santa came to Disney b/c we put a tree!!!" it was classic!!!

The only issue I can think of for it's "disappearance" (beyond possible laziness on the part of bell services) is that someone (have no idea who) COMPLETELY scribbled out the writing on box that said "Saratoga Tree #3"...it simply only has the paper with our real names on it...but the box nowhere identifies itself as SSR tree #3. Although before turning it in today... I did write in big on both boxes today.

Also - there's $19 already in envelope for shipping! Hopefully future families are just as generous and we can completely cover this shipping on both ends

SO SORRY it took me SO long to write back. I stopped logging on and started enjoying WDW... woo hoo!!!!

disneyfan2kids I am sorry you had to camp out for the tree. Its ashame we never had a problem with SSR before. maybe they are over welm with the size of the resort and cant keep up with the packages that bell service has to deal with on a daily bases. But i dont think our families should have to spend time tracking down the tree boxes. it can be very stressfull.

Im glad it all worked out in the end! I remember i had to ask the manager one time at the BCV and like you said 30 seconds later she brought the tree out.

I had a similar experience today trying to find BLT Tree #2. I explained to them I was looking for a box left by a previous guest and they just couldn't understand why a previous guest would be leaving me something. I had to explain the entire tree sharing process and talk to three people before I found one that had a clue. I do understand this is BLT's first year so I'll cut them some slack.

Just had bell services bring tree #3 to our villa (didn't even ask!). We put up the stockings, tree and lights (along with blue icicle lights from home) so our BLT "halls are decked"

We're back from our VWL trip. Just wanted to pop on & give a big thanks to Wdwstar for her tireless dedication to organizing this swap & to Magicalmcwho for donating his beautiful tree to us. I've never seen so many decorations packed in one box! We didn't use even close to half, but here's our version of his tree.

Thank you to all who are involved in making this happen. The family was completely surprised and loves it!!! Two bellmen acted like they didn't have a clue what I was talking about, but I went to check in and by the the time we came back out, the bellmen had it out waiting for us. I'm going to try to post a not-so-great last minute picture taken from my phone. The tree is MUCH prettier then it comes across through my phone camera. Family is now decorating the rest of the room for the week. Thanks to everyone again!

Got back from SSR on Saturday and had tree #1. It was great having it in our room as a remider that it was the holiday season while we were walking around in shorts!
Thank you again wdwstar for donating the tree. We had 2 kids sleeping on the sleeper couch and it was a great night light for them

Reporting on VWL tree #2, it's fine and all ready to be picked up by the next people. We met the family who had the tree before us. They were so gracious and left us a wonderful Disney ornament!

Everything went smoothly with VWL#2. During my check-in the CM said they had a box for me so it must have been noted on my account somehow. I even got to meet Bobbi and Tom and transfered the box to them in the Villas lobby Saturday morning. What a pleasure to meet them both and thank them for the generosity and wish them a Very Merry Christmas . Thanks to all and especially you wdwstar !!! Can't wait to start planning next year's trip, which will be next month come to think of it. A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
