Durabrand Portable DVD Player w/Two 6.2" Screens..Anyone own this?

Wanted to thank everyone who had responded to this thread. I remembered reading the good reviews so when I saw this Durabrand Duel Screen 6.2" portable DVD player on clearance at Walmart for $120 I couldn't resist.

I have 3 children so I also bought a 7" Polaroid for $75.

They also had 5" Apex(not real sure on the brand???) for $50.

I think a couple of posters said it didn't come with a internal battery to use for the plane. You can buy that one or buy the same durabrand, 6.2 inch 2 screen model with a battery. We just bought one this past week for $229. We also got the 2 yr. extended warranty just in case. :flower:

had this one on layaway for 256.00, and then saw the new 7 inch screens for 243.00 i switched layaways...

its sold in asia under the kawasaki name, and in europe under the venturer brand name, model numbers are identical though, i think the 7 inch is like model PVS1970

I bought it before our April trip, we had bought a Cyberhome single screen last year from Target, used it one time, happened to try it out before we checked the kids out of school for our April trip last year, wouldn't work. Got our $$ back from Target, closest size one they had then was $150 more. We just stuck the old VHS in a bag back in, can't kill it. The Durabrand we bought came with the battery, I haven't hooked that part up yet. The player worked great for our April trip this year, no problems yet.

doodlesbug-mom:thanks for the link. That is the exact model (PVS1966) that I bought for only $120. I am so excited to have gotten such a great deal. Maybe they were clearing them out because they are getting the 7" ones. But I'm still very happy with mine for $120.

I couldn't find the exact model # on the Polaroid 7" that I got for $75 but it looked exactly the same as the ones on walmart's site that are selling for $150.

I guess I was in the right place at the right time. I had run into Walmart quickly to purchase something for my Mom and because it was the Walmart closer to her house not the one I'm used to I just happened to walk past the electronics department and saw these items on a special clearance table.

WOW!!! I sure wish I could walk into a Wal Mart and find it for $120. If I did, this is what I would be doing in the aisle.... . LOL!!!! :rotfl2:

I'm still dancing. I actually haven't even taken them out of my trunk yet (they will be going into the minivan). My Mom's been in the hospital for the past 5 weeks so I could really use this little bit of joy. And...tomorrow is my birthday so :bday: to me. My DH isn't much of a shopper so I told him the DVD players could be my gift.

And my DS(4) just this morning said that the next time we go to Disney he wants to watch Disney DVD's on the hotel TV. It was great to be able to say "sure, the next time we go to Disney Mommy will bring a DVD player so you can watch movies in the hotel room."

Was out and about yesterday and stopped into Wal mart in a neighboring town and found the unit I was looking for {were the DVD player isn't attached to a screen}. They wanted $238 for it. :earseek:
I was hoping to find it for a good price since the new ones are out or going to come out. :confused3 But $238 is a little much for the old model.

Guess I will keep looking for it. :guilty:

We got the one with the internal Battery, and We LOVE it..

Kids got to watch movies on the long trip to vacation, and once we were there, Me and DH took it in the room and on one of our Rainy days, we were able to Play the Scene it game right on it..
DH kicks butt in the regular Scene it with your Movies, then we switch over to the Disney Scene it so I can kick his butt..

Im really happy with the DVD player...
