Duplicate Attractions between Universal Florida and Hollywood?

Hello all -

First time posting in this section because next year my family and I are hoping to spend two days of an Orlando trip at the Universal parks. It will be our first "official" visit there (we are attending DISapalooza in December, but that doesn't count...though IT WILL BE AWESOME!). We are Southern California residents, Disneyland AP holders, and very infrequent visitors to Universal Hollywood. In fact, it has been well over a decade since we last visited USH, but we expect that to change next year with the opening of the Harry Potter section.

To my question...we know that the California and Florida Universal Studios parks have some duplicate attractions by name, just as Disneyland does with the Magic Kingdom, but are they identical? When I speak to friends and family about trip planning for WDW, I am always sure to state that most of the Disneyland attractions they know and love are indeed different at Walt Disney World (Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Space Mountain, etc.) and special in their own way. Is this the same for the attractions that exist both in California and Florida for Universal?

The gist of my inquiry is to see if there are any attractions in USF that we might assign a lower priority if we can experience them in California next year as well. Ideally, we would LOVE to visit everything over those two days, but reality may dictate otherwise and knowing what we might feel OK about skipping (or affirming what NOT to skip -- we will not skip anything Harry Potter!) would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Transformers, Simpsons, Shrek, and Minion Mayhem are virtually identical.

Jurassic Park River Adventure are somewhat similar, but have some important differences.

Revenge of the Mummy is completely different at each park.

Forbidden Journey (if it's open in Hollywood when you go) will use 3d glasses there, whereas in Orlando no glasses.

Unique to Hollywood: Waterworld, and the studio tour.

King Kong in Orlando will be entirely different too.

Unique to Orlando: Everything else

AT this moment, the Fast and the Furious ride is also unique to Hollywood.

Our local TV commercials for USH show the Minions guests in a moving ride vehicle, so I wondered about that. But apparently it's the same motion platform as in USF.

(We all know how commercials can distort the in-park experience, . . . . )
