Can we get a pager for Dumbo, then use a fast pass while we are waiting, then when the pager goes off, get back in line for a second ride?

No.

Thanks.
Touring plans recommends having a second adult wait 48 spaces back in line and then when they are through passing your child off for a second ride. I just don't feel comfortable with this idea.

I don't think there's a way to effectively pass your child through the line now. I guess it depends on how the ride is lined up. We did have a ride or two where we didn't FP and missed the queue. You might be able to have your partner enter the standby line, give their party as two and wait with the pager while you ride with your child and then you re-enter the traditional line and pass the child off at the play place for your partner to take on the ride. I can't say that it will work that way, but it seems like it could/should.

It might save some anguish to know that since they have added a second spinner and offer three different methods (standby, playground/pager, and FP+) to ride, it is not a serious waiting problem to ride Dumbo anymore.

I'd not waste a FP+ at all.

Just ride standby and/or use the "playground/pager" method as many times as you'd like.

Thanks again.
Off my original topic, but my one concern with the playground area is loosing sight of my 3 and 5 year old on the climbing structures. I was hoping to have my Mom take my kids to Dumbo once while I snuck off to Space Mountain with my hubby (FP) and I'm not sure if this is a good idea. Is the play area crazy busy enough that she could loose them?

I don't know. I think they limit the capacity for that room, though I'm not sure as our lines weren't that long. It was kind of crazy, but my 4 and 7 year old were willing to stay together and Dh just walked alongside the climbing area while they played inside. There's only one entrance/exit to the room, so if she stood there they really couldn't leave the room without her knowing, but it was fairly busy and could make a more helicoptery mom (no judgement! I am one!) nervous.

If I understand the question correctly, I think they're asking if they could, say, book a FP+ for 10:00 AM. Instead of going directly into the FP+ queue, they enter the standby queue, grab a pager, exit, enter the FP+ queue (still during their window) and ride, then return to the standby queue with their pager to presumably ride a second time. Using their FP+ to kill some of the standby wait time.

I'm not sure if it would work, or if the standby area allows exit and re-entry but I think that was the question being asked?

That was the question.

The short answer is, "no."

This was known as the "Chuck Bubba Relay" and applied when Dumbo was in its original location. This technique is years out-of-date.

Nobody mentioned paper FP.
(But, yes, they are all gone from all of the parks.)

Yeah, I just realized that. Sorry. I don't know what I was reading, haha.

I haven't been on in a while, so it's a very delayed response.
