These are straight from my AAA magazine and some are so dumb that I can't believe they are real but others I can imagine somebody actually asking.....Can anyone top these?

1)Does the ship generate its own electricity?

2)What time is the midnight buffet?

3)Does the crew live on the ship?

4)I'm one bottle over my liquor allowance but I drank it. Do I still have to declare it?

5)Is that sea water in the pool? That must be why it is so rough in there?

6)I paid for an ocean view...How come I can only see the parking lot?

7)How long is the half hour massage?

8)If I go snorkeling, will I get wet?

9)What do you do with the ice carvings after they've melted?

10)Does the elevator go to the front of the ship?

11)What religion are the people who wear the patches behind their ears?

12)How will I know which photos are mine?

Here the dumbest one we've heard on board out of 23 cruises (and believe me, we're heard some doozies!!):
This quote was made by people who had seen the sepia-toned photo of Walt Disney and his wife aboard an ocean liner for the honeymoon...that picture is in the staterooms:
"Gee, they must be on the Big Red Boat. It looks like that picture was taken before the Magic was built."

I REALLY hate it when people think DCL is The Big Red Boat.I know it is irrational but I really want to scream!!!LOL!

Here are some smart ***ed answers to the questions

1)no...they have a realllllly looong extention cord!

2) noon

3)no, they have to swim home everyday after their shift

4)yes, they will know it, so you better pay up!

5)yes, it has nothing to do with the fact that the ship is moving!

6)because you have more money then sense!

7)10 min.

8) do you even know what snorkeling is?

9)This one is so stupid I can't even think of a reponse. Someone help me out here!!!!

10)Gee, I really don't know, why not get in and find out?

11) The Nopukers Sect

12)Look for the pictures of the really stupid people!

it was found that 10% of the people have the right to remain stupid.... :p ('Course, most of us would argue that the margin of error was way off!!!) :p

I am with you about the Big Red Boat thing. Everyone always thinks of the Big Red Boat when you say you are going on a Disney Cruise. I always say no, Disney now has it own ships. The Big Red Boat was Premier Cruise Lines....very different and not part of Disney!

The funniest part was I just got a call and people I work with know that I love cruises. She asked when I was going on another Disney Cruise and I said tomorrow. She laughed and said oh is that the Big Red Boat....NOOOOOO!

These questions are pretty funny. It is important to realize that half of all people have 2 digit IQs (since an IQ of 100 is the median). Whenever I think something is too stupid to believe, I remind myself of this.

However, it is possible that many of these stupid questions were natural inquiries that just came out wrong. For example, it is very possible that he meant "Where on the ship do the crew live?" Or "Are there elevators in the front of the ship?" or "How does the ship generate it's electricity?" etc.

Who among us hasn't asked a stupid question? I'm guilty!

A few years back my husband and I took a cruise on the Norwegian Cruise line. I was watching my husband shoot skeet with a group of other men. I was standing with a group of wives. One wife said "Oh, I won't take a cruise again." Why, we all wanted to know. This cruise had been very nice. Her response: "There's too much to do!"

Later my husband and I laughed about this one. It's not like they make you do anything at all! I could just visualize this woman rushing from activity to activity with her planner in hand. Did she think she had to do it all?

I get that too, Kevin. Usually from the same people, over and over. Last year: "We just got back from our Disney Cruise." "Oh, did you go on the Big Red Boat?" "No, we went on Disney's own ship, the Disney Wonder."

This year: "We went on another Disney Cruise this year." "Yeah, the Big Red Boat, right?" "No, Disney has their own cruise line now. We went on the Disney Magic."

Funny thing is, I've never even HEARD of The Big Red Boat until we went on DCL!!

Here's one:

We were at the Captain's cocktail party a few cruises back, and someone asked him "Who's driving the boat?"

'Beano'

The funny part is that people must ask the cruise director the same questions every cruise, because at the farewell show her written coments from cruisers were the same as last year. I know they are ready for new shows, but she need a change also. With all the return cruisers we should all let them know that changes are needed.

It drives me crazy also when I hear the Disney Cruise refered to as the Big Red Boat. I just want to scream.

I can' believe that some people still think the Big Red Boat is operating.

At that moment both of my children are looking for my expression because they know that my next move will be to cut the conversation short and move on.:p

Counting down to 9/14/02 - 7 day Western.

That's absurd. Everybody knows you don't drive a boat, you pilot one.

Actually, it is still in operation, it's just not called the Big Red Boat anymore. I remember docking next to it in Nassau back on our first cruise. It looked so small compared to the Magic.

Premier Cruise Line the company that owned the Big Red Boat went out of business. If you saw the ship it was either before the bankruptcy or someone bought the God awful thing and is operating it.

I am a part-time TA and I often get told "I don't want to be on the bottom deck because it is below the water."
