I made blueberry muffins this morning and they did not cook right. The tops got brown, but the muffin itself never did cook like fluffy bread like normal.

Tonight, I am baking some rolls - the brown and serve kind - and my oven does not seem to be getting HOT!

Is my heating element dying? I hope it is not my whole stove. Seems like you can replace a heating element. Does anyone know? What do you think?

Yes, it could be the heating element, and yes, you can replace it. I can't for the life of me recall even the slightest estimate of how much money it is, but it's very possible. You may want to go buy an oven thermometer and see if that's the problem before you call in the repairman, but it sounds like that could very well be the problem. (If you don't have any more problems with it, another factor that could cause muffins to not rise like normal is over-stirring.)

Thanks, Kermit. I see you are also a South Carolinian. I live about 50 miles from Greenville - near the "big peach".
