I know this is dumb but was just curious what you guys thought.

We are thinking of heading back to Disneyland in 2019. We want to go BEFORE Star Wars Land (or whatever it's called) opens. I know they haven't said what month it will open but they have said it will open before the land at Hollywood Studios. So that makes me wonder just how early in the year it could open.

Do you think we'd likely be "safe" by going the first week of February?

(Yes, I know no one here knows but was just curious on some opinions.)

Our original plan was going to be WDW in 2019 but decided Disneyland would be better for us.

At this point, it's all guess work. :) I doubt we'll get any information until next year on when they plan to open it.

I do remember reading something a while back that they want to have it open before Episode 9 comes out (May 2019).

Agree it's guesswork, but I don't feel like February is the time of year Disney will debut something as huge as this. I'm guessing spring or summer.

I am saying before summer, optimum is spring break, but crowds will be insane and they may have a system in place for that. We did Carsland about 6 months after it opened and the crowds though big, the hype was over and it was doable. Feb. seems too early. Plus what if they are not on time with the project.

I also believe they will be shooting for a May open to coincide with Episode 8 and the start of summer. I would bet February should be safe, especially considering the delays they've had with Fantasmic and the re-opening of the River

These responses make me feel a bit more hopeful. I know it's a year and a half away but I didn't want to get too excited if there was a good chance of SWL being open already.

I think sometime in April would be the earliest. But most likely May through July is when it will debut. The construction appears to be moving at a good pace. If I had to pick one month it would be June.
