 I was just curious if you could ride your bike or a golf cart to other resorts? I want to see the Christmas decorations at some of the other resorts but don't know the best way to get to them. We won't have a vechile. Can Disney transportation get you there?
Sorry for the dumb question but it has been a long time since I stayed on site.
Thanks.

You can ride your bikes, But Golf Cart NO....... Just Take the buses a lot faster and safer.

Thanks.
So will there be a bus from FW to the different resorts or do you have to go from one of the parks?

You can also see the other resorts this way, which will likely be faster: Take the boat to MK, then the resort monorail to see the decorations at the MK resorts--Polynesian, Grand Floridina, and Contemporary

Don't miss WL, which is not on the resort monrail, but accessible from the same boat that takes you to and from MK.

To see the Epcot resorts, while yuo are at Epcot, just walk out the international gateway (between England and France) and either walk or take the boat you'll find right outsdie the gateway to see the decorations at Boarwalk and BC/YC.

Thanks. I definetly will be going to WL. I wanted to see Grand Floridian too. I also want to go to Beach Club and that is the one I was wondering about how to get to. That doesn't sound bad at all!
I am so excited. 12 more days! YEAH!!!

11 Days for me!

One of my daughter's and mine fondest memories is of our trip around to see the resorts one day, when she was 3 or 4. I put her in her seat on the back of the bike and left FW for WL. (They did not have a bkie rack then, may now.) We left the bike there and took the boat over to MK. From there we used the monorail to visit the MK resorts. Don't remember all the details, but we ended up back at WL and rode our bike back to camp. She is 15 and still remembers this adventure!!!!!!!

That's a wonderful story! We're avid cyclists--we just led 6 boy scouts through the cycling merit badge-- and we'd love to bike through WDW. We just returned from a stay at the BCV, and one of the boy scouts called on my cell not realizing we were at WDW. I explained, and we talked a bit more, and then he asked what my favorite ride was. I thought a minute and replied, "Well, I really like going down Big Dry Creek and then up to the College Hill Library--you get a bike ride and visit to the library all in one!" He must have thought I was really dumb, which I was, 'cause then he said, "NO! AT DISNEY WORLD!" Boy, was I dumb. Anyway, any info on bicycling through WDW and/or FW would be welcome . . .

Those are nice stories. Thanks guys.

DavidHobart- that is cool. I am so excited. Seems like forever ago that I made these plans. Hope you have a great trip. :thumbsup2

To see the Yacht and Beach club just go to Epcot and go out the Gateway Exit (before you hit France it is on your right hand side when coming from Canada) There is a boat or you can walk there.

It is a pretty walk

You are strongly discouraged from riding your bike out of the resorts and into the greater 'world' area. Security may even give you a ride back to your resort. In case you haven't been to WDW before--riding the roads there is like riding on the interstates--multi-lane divided highways with lots of traffic and many big buses and trucks. Ride around FW and then take the buses and boats.

Please don't do like the older gentleman I came upon one dark night in WDW--he was riding along on his bike--no lights or reflectors! I managed to avoid hitting him and I didn't read in the papers about a horrible accident so perhaps he made it okay--but DUMB!

campingcorgi I couldn't remember 100% how things were set up. I thought it was bigger roads (interstate) and we probably couldn't ride our bikes but wanted to double check. I never really gave it much thought before since we never have had our bikes with us.
Sounds like it will be pretty easy to get to the BC.
Thanks.

There are no dumb questions. I love "hotel Hopping" and I usually take the ferry to MK and use the bus to get to my location. Have Fun! :earsgirl:

Thanks cookiebrito! I am looking forward to checking out all the beautiful decorations at the different resorts. :santa:
