What is the point of uploading your own photos if all the MM entitles you to is a digital download (and ownership rights) of the Disney photopass photos? They don't put the photos on a CD anymore?

The main purpose of uploading photos is to be able to use both PhotoPass photos and photos from your own camera when buying printed items like Photo Books.

Memory Maker is a download only product. You can still get your photos sent to you on a disc, but it requires a separate purchase of the Memory Maker Archive Disc for $29.95. (This is in addition to the original purchase price of Memory Maker itself.)

Yes, you'll download a zipped folder that includes all of your images (you can also download one by one). I think that maybe you can still opt to purchase a CD.

The point to uploading your own photos would be if you wanted to add their Disney logos or order a photobook or photo souvenir from Photopass that also included your own photos. Also, if you are sharing Memory Maker with extended friends and family, you could upload your own photos as a way to share them with everyone.
