Dumb HOB 50$ certificate question??

Well, I know you all have been talking about the Restaurant.com offer for HOB. Today is the last day to order the cheap certificate.
I am thinking about buying the 50 dollar certificate that they are offering for 4 dollars.
Would 3 adults and 2 kids be allowed to accumulate the 100 minimum purchase necessary to use this? Or is it for 2 adults only?
I know Funball had talked about some rules involved here.
If anyone can explain this to me I would really appreciate it.

I would think that if you ordered big, it would be no problem. Last month, we went with the $25 certificate, and our bill came to $55 WITH the certificate (tip does get included). We both ordered a cup of the soup of the day ($4), a soda for each of us ($3.50 each), and a kids' drink for DS (the kid's meal didn't come with a drink, I think it was $2.50), the kid's chicken tenders meal ($7.50), and meatloaf for each of us ($19). I just tried to re-do the math and couldn't get it exact but close enough.

If you got a bigger appetizer or even salad for the adults, that adds up, and figure $8-10 for the kids' meals...and we got fairly inexpensive entrees -unless you get a burger or sandwich- you should hit your $100. Plus, if you get booze drinks or dessert that helps bump you up.

We haven't used our HOB one yet but we have at other places. The main thing is that all your food and nonalcoholic drinks must meet the min purchase before taxes. Also, remember that they will take 18% gratuity automatically, so make sure you don't extra tip (unless you have outstanding service and you want to add). You could always downgrade to the $25 cert and that way if you want to share some plates you could, but with apps and entrees for each person and even some dessert you probably have no problem hitting the mark. Remember if you get that deal you will still end up paying about $75 for dinner. At least $50 for food + 4 for the certificate + tax+ $18 or more service charge. Service charge is 18% of the total before the discount.


Personally I think it might be hard to hit 100. Check here and guess at your order see if you hit $100. http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/menus.htm

Remember the 100 includes non alchoholic drinks. As said if you eat big you will make it. But next time I go, I won't use the coupon and will be sharing an appetizer and salad no entree.

To my understanding, YES 3 adults and 2 kids would be allowed to accumulate the $100. I believe it is per table/party, however I have been known to be wrong

We have a family of 4 and we have problems hitting $100 for most of our meals. BUT we've never eaten at HOB so I would highly suggest you research it to see what you think. And keep in mind, most restaurants do not allow you to use alcohol towards your total when using a rest.com coupon/certificate, dessert and appetizers DO count but alcohol has never counted when I've used one of those. And we use those at least once a month, usually more like 2 or 3 times a month.
