Dumb AP question

I apologize in advance if this question seems dumb, but I've never bought an AP before and was thinking about purchasing one to get a specific code applied to a ressie. Can I buy a child's AP or do I have to buy the adult pass to get the discount? Thanx for you help.

Yes, you can use a child's AP for the room discount.

Note that you don't have to physically purchase the AP before you make a reservation with an AP rate code. All you have to have is an AP, or AP voucher, in hand when you check-in. Just to be safe, get the AP rate on the reservation... and then go buy one for your kid.
