Duggar surprise?

There are many families choosing to have large number of children, we have them in the UK as well. The difference between them and the Duggers is
1 the parents actually bring the kids up and not leave the day to day care to the "buddies"
2 they don't need tv show to do it. Why does she need to go on tv to say we look we had sex again and we are having yet more kids.

I'm condemning, or judging no one, but, it is amazing that I mentioned no particular poster in my comments, yet a few have been pointing that comment out as if it was directed at them. (Hitting too close to home maybe)?

Just making an observation. Not judging at all. Really. Now, if you want to talk about the use of a spell checker. ;)

Regardless, I stand firm regarding the Duggars. I believe those who are constantly attacking them, simply have nothing better to do, and really do need to get out more. As for me? I just enjoy seeing everyone get irritated while passing the time on a slow work afternoon. :lmao:

 Oh okay, when you pass your judgement its called just making an observation. Gotcha, thank goodness you cleared that up. Here I was thinking we were all being a bit judgemental in this thread whether it was about the Duggars or some of the posters. Glad you explained that you are only making an observation, I'll have to remember that line next time I say anything about the Duggars.

And just FTR, I have plenty of better things to do then comment on the Duggars. An example would be, pointing out posters who contradict themself, deflect their issue onto others and the sweet irony of it all. Thanks for keeping me busy today ;)

I'm happy to pass judgment on them for trying to singlehandedly overpopulate the world and for their treatment of their children, in particular their daughters.

Regardless of what anyone says, we ALL judge others on a daily basis. It's human nature.

I've always figured that as grateful as the Duggars are for their supportive fans, they're probably also quite grateful for all of the "haters". Drama and controversy are what sell TV shows and magazines.

I haven't read the whole thread, just wondering if anyone said anything other than "She's pregnant again" for the surprise?

My opinion is-they are using their children to make $$$. If they didn't have all those kids, who would watch their TV show? When the babies stop, so will the TV show. People won't be as interested without a new baby every couple of years. And yes, there was a time when they were paying zero property taxes-the record year I saw was 2006. When the word got out and the bad publicity started to hit-things changed. However, if their home is registered as a "church" and if Daddy is the minister-they may be getting tax breaks in other ways. It would be smart of them to be very financially clean though, because there is so much scrutiny about them.

I respected the DeBolt family because they adopted children that nobody else wanted, raised them and gave them a good life. I had no problem with them making $$ off the TV show because they had adopted the kids FIRST, and the money would help with the extraordinary costs of caring for them.

They've put themselves out there for people to have opinions about them, just like Jon and Kate, the Kardashian's and all the other reality show crazies.

Seriously. You put yourself on television - for the money, for the notoriety, to proselytize, for your own narcissistic enjoyment, whatever - I will sit on my couch and judge you, your ridiculous hair, your Laura Ingalls-would-tsk discount Little House clothing, your sexist idiocy, the fact that your next baby should call a cab, not an obstetrician, your weirdly culty, Marilyn Monroe whisper deferment voice, your spray-on 1950s candidate hair, your horrifying food choices, your idiotic names, your inability to spell said idiotic names (Jinger? Really? Do you not understand that's pronounced 'gin-gurr'?), and the fact that you actually live with all of that in Arkansas. Oh yes I will.

yes we do.

the younger children seem to have plenty of time with her as far as I can see..:confused3...They accept Amy and love her even though she doesn't follow their religion..I think that much is clear. Ditto for Amy..she accepts them and loves them for who they are.

They all seem to love the film crew..consider them family and have pictures of them on their walls...the young kids LOVE Jim!...

I think the Duggars have their beliefs but are accepting of those that don't.

Each to their own I say...they all seem happy enough and have a lot of love in their hearts. My dysfuntional family could learn a thing or too..:rotfl:

Yep, and on one of the shows they even said that "we love Amy even though she is not like us" (paraphrasing since I can't remember the exact phrasing)

Hehe, can't help yourself can you? I can tell, again, look at that post count! ;)

See what I mean? MAN do you folks get worked up easily, LOL. I love it. :rotfl: Hard to believe at times these are Disney boards, supposedly populated by people who love Disney, family kids and all that. Hard to tell some times.

I'll keep trying though, and asking the Lord each day to forgive me the judging, or observing, of others. :goodvibes

Now lets all go out and have some ice cream together, OK?

I guess the bolded is just another one of those "observations"

Sorry won't be making it for ice cream, I'd rather go out with the Duggars.

.

Jim Bob said last night that their church group meets in various houses, including his. It's not registered as a church, itself. I have seen that they do pay property taxes. I don't think the house was finished being built in 2006, but I thought I saw that they paid taxes then too.

I hope all goes well for them. Personally, I would have probably decided that, after the Josie pregnancy, that 19 was the number God wanted me to have-but they have faith that this is God's plan so I hope all is well. I actually like this family quite a bit. I don't agree with all their beliefs, but do agree with many of them, and I think they are genuine in them.

I don't think Michelle's age or uterus is the issue so much as the preeclampsia-that is a BIG deal and the biggest factor as something that could go wrong.

20 kids!!!:headache:Wow! the mom with 8 is being judged a psycho weirdo and this family is fine....come on:sad2:and what has God got to do with it? People make their own choices so why does God all of a sudden get brought into the picture?:confused3 This family chooses to live their life in a reality show, so stop whining when others don't approve:cool2:
