Duggar interview

He was 15 so he was not a pedophile but you are when you turn 16.
Jim Bob said a pedophiles is an adult preying on a child and at 15 he was a "child preying on a child." (5 children, but I guess that's just semantics.)

What's sick is that they associate with other families who live among pedophiles
"Other families tell me this happens to them too, even worse". What could be worse
Rape and touching someone under their clothes for more than a few seconds would be worse, apparently. "This was not rape or anything like that. This was like, touching somebody over their clothes. There were a couple of incidents where he touched them under their clothes, but it was like a few seconds."

I thought they did a good job. The statistics were interesting. Most young offenders are between 12 and 14. 85 to 90% are never arrested for another *** crime.
Not being arrested again is not the same thing as not acting inappropriately ever again. Jim Bob himself said that someone who worked at a youth sex offender facilities told him the success rate isn't very good.

Which is like totes not a big deal because... 5 second rule. o_O

It will just be sanitized drivel like their parents just filmed. Jessa Duggar says "accusations that he is a child molester or pedophile are "so overboard and a lie."
absolutely.

The girls are going to stick up for Josh for several reasons. First, they have been brainwashed that guys are just like that. Look up Michelle's controversial Today interview on husband's marital rights to get an idea of what these girls are taught.

But mostly, the 2 married girls are in talks with TLC to have their own show. Of course they are not going to say anything that might reflect badly on thei family and cause the money to dry up.

These people should not be allowed to have any minor children living in their household. They are clearly unable to adequately protect them from harm.
If they don't allow themselves to be alone in the same room with each other they won't become victims. Problem solved.

Really? It is the victim's responsibility to stay away from their molester? The youngest sister who is a possible/probable victim was 4 at the time.

They said in the interview that their safeguards are not letting boys babysit, not playing hide and seek where 2 hide together, not being alone in a room with someone else and little ones don't sit on big boys laps, only daddy's.

Got it. I read your post wrong. Sorry about that.

So, how do they explain the laundry room incident?

They didn't. They said the first incidents were in the girl's room while they were asleep. Then they said they stopped his access to the rooms. And they said it was only 2 girls. They said all the incidents were reported by Josh, not the girls. Then they said there were incidents with reaching over the couch and touching over clothes. This was where he said other families told him similar things happened to them and the quote above about this not being rape. I think they said this happened twice, I don't remember if they gave a number here, but they did say one was a babysitter, and that she didn't know he touched her until he called to ask forgiveness. They said there were a couple of incidents when the girls were awake but the girls didn't understand, only Josh new the intent in his heart, but the girls didn't understand improper touch. The interviewer asked about the incident with the younger daughter (she said single digit age) and that was when they said her came to them for the third time and they removed him that night. This interview was taped before the new sheriff's department report that came out today with the details about the lap and laundry room incidents.

And not sleeping. Don't forget not sleeping. Never, ever sleeping.

Please. Does anyone believe Josh's estimation of how long he molested the victims?

I was expecting more remorse from them about keeping Josh in the house after the first attack and having more attacks occurs under their watch after that. That was disappointing for me to watch as someone who liked their show.

I do think that they make a good point about how wrong it was for these sealed juvenile records to be released illegally. I am looking forward to seeing the interview with Jill and the other sister to hear their perspective.

Their perspective? they will just say whatever they are instructed to say.

I really can't get over the whole "He said he was just curious about girls" thing... Is this something that abstinence-only programs teach? That normal teenage-boy "curiosity" can result in sexually molesting your SISTERS? In what world would a parent sit and listen to their 14 year-old son say those words, and not IMMEDIATELY take action? (Like... action action, not get-down-on-your-knees action).

Were it not for the statute of limitations these people would be in jail.

As a society, we really need to reexamine the statute of limitations regarding sex crimes.

FWIW, Those weren't sealed juvenile records that were released. They were police reports. There is a big difference.

So they have these safeguards like no male babysitters, no 2 together playing whatever, no sitting on the boys laps, and I'm sure many other but they never bothered to teach their daughters about improper touching?
Do these people think the rest of the world are a bunch of idiots who can't see through their lies and hypocrisy?

Well, they did carefully teach about front hugs...side hugs only! And no hand holding unless engaged! Ugh. They have truly bizarre priorities.

Its sickening the way they try to justify what he did, the girls didn't understand so therefore they were/are okay. I don't know what their priorities were then, but I sure know what they are now $$$$$$$
