Can one call guest services to find out the open/closed dates for the ride? We'll be in the area May 20 - 26 and could go on a Sunday if DD was open that day, although I'd rather go on a Monday or Tuesday.

It won't help to call as the dates aren't set but it will only be open on Friday and Saturdays only not Sundays. It will be open every Friday and Saturday except for one or two weekends.

I don't know yet as it hasn't been decided. It depends on where they are in the rehab process and if they can stop the rehab for a few days to open on that weekend.

Well, it's so nice that as disappointed as y'all are that DD is refurbishing, you are civil....We were fortunate enough to ride it the day before it closed. We were there the next day when the two men were fielding the "WHY IS IT CLOSED!!!!?????" demands. Some people were quite nasty. I even heard one woman demand a refund...no kidding! I wouldn't want to be those guys!!!
There are so many amazing rides there...

We were able to ride it on Saturday before it closed as well. On Tuesday we overheard a man & woman throwing f bombs around about it being closed. I just wanted to tell the two of them to calm down and enjoy the rest of the park...and to watch their mouths because there were kiddos running around within earshot. Hmph, some people.

I walked past DD today (Sat.) around 1:30pm-ish and I saw a posted waittime of 100 minutes!

I know it was a busy day, but thats still insane. I didn't wait around to watch, but my guess was that they were only running one train on each track, but I'm not sure.
