"Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls may close for refurbishment in February, 2004" ?

Has anyone heard anything about this?

It's supposed to be closed for all of February for refurbishment.

No offense to you folks going in February, but I'm glad it's closing then, and not next week. It has been closed two of my last three trips, so I'm really glad it's going to be open the 18th-20th!!

It was scheduled to be down for rehab last fall, but they pushed it back. At least it will be during the slow and COLD season. It'll be open by March 1 or so (approx).

We'll be at USF/IOA over Presidents' Day weekend (our first trip there) and were REALLY looking forward to this ride. My son will be soooooo disappointed. I guess they've got to close rides every now and then, but I wish it didn't have to be over a busy, holiday weekend when so many people will be visiting the parks. Maybe they'll get things wrapped up quicker than expected and open it up mid-month... Wishful thinking, right??

On another topic, why doesn't USF have any area of their website that lists ride closures like Disney does?? It seems strange that they wouldn't let people know so they could prepare their kids...
