How rough would the weather have to be?
And regardless, I don't think DCL wants people putting duct tape on the furnishings! That would rip the finish off the wood.
As hgon76 said, what CANT you use duct tape for! lol!
Here's 20 uses from another website!
Using tape, you can survive almost any emergency at sea:
1. Repairs the hem of your dress
2. Tape the curtains closed to keep out the sunlight
3. Make your own lint brush
4. Keeps extension cords out of the way
5. Emergency hinge repair for your camera
6. Keeps long shoelaces from tripping you on the treadmill
7. Make sticky notes out of the ship's stationery
8. Belly button lint remover
9. Tape bingo cards to the table in rough seas
10. Keeps your eyelids open to stay awake for the midnight buffet
11. Foils the pick-pockets at Martinique
12. After too many midnight buffets, make your own girdle
13. Use as a *mute function* for the noisy kid at your table
14. Tape yourself to the toilet during rough seas
15. Do-it-yourself bikini wax
16. Garters to keep your stockings up (inside joke)
17. Instant hand cuffs =;o
18. The rowdy kid in the cabin next door... tape him to the wall
19. Makes a great strapless bra, it lifts and separates
20. Done correctly, it can be used as a contraceptive device

ROFL!!! I remember a report shortly before the EBPC cruise in 2008. A table of several children was left unattended in the dining room while the adults went to Palo. This was in PC, where the dishes and salt and pepper shakers are quite large. They broke these, were climbing in the portholes and threw food at nearby guests, resulting in the other guests leaving the dining room. A DISer was nominated to go to Palo to inform the parents of the behavior. The joke in our cruise group was that we would be sure to pack the duct tape for the repo. Our new motto was -- Duct tape, it's not just for your own children anymore.![]()

DH loves loves loves duct tape and actually has "pocket duct tape" he carries everywhere. When I informed him we needed to pack a roll for the cruise, his response was "which color?" lol!!
