Ducks in pools

We had another great Summer day in our local Lazy River yesterday!

But after reading the great info in this Thread,we saw something really disturbing.

We saw no one PROTECT THEIR LADY PARTS!

All we can do is hope Campy wasn't in town yesterday.

We don't feel good about that because we could definitely "sense" "Heinie Residue".

Well, it’s been 5 days and for 3 of them at two different resorts the ducks are allowed in the pools. It’s ignored. Then, they poop in the pool and we all have to vacate because of swimming with duck poop and the diseases they carry. Can they just be shoo’d off for heavens sake. It’s disgusting to swim with them.
I never thought about the ducks pooping in the pool… Now that’s all I’m going to be able to think about

No. Disney does commercial level maintenance and testing, guaranteed your fam didn’t come remotely close to that.
Well of course. I did not mean quite literally on commercial level. I should have worded better. But, they have a professional pool service that is meant to kill almost all bacteria. At the end of the day, you can still get Campy from ducks in a pool....especially women. It ain't cute to let them poop in the pool/pool area. :/

How are you propose they keep them out?

And for an occupation build water and wastewater treatment plants for small communities and very large municipalities for over 30 years. So yah… I may know a thing about bacteria and viruses.

eh....I also make my living building wwtp's for a living, a lot of them for large chicken processing plants. A few ducks in the water never bothered me! My kids swam all over hell & creation in the rivers off of the Chesapeake Bay, as did we when we were kids. I know a lot of folks who work in the industry - they're more likely to laugh at folks being afraid of swimming with a duck than be afraid of it...might not want to mention your thoughts about staying away from ducks that poop in/near a chlorine filled pool around folks who have had to clean out sludge tanks!
I have to ask, do none of you swim in lakes or in the ocean????? Do you only swim in sanitized bodies of water??? As a lifelong Michigander all of this ruckus makes me chuckle. Nothing like having fish nibble on your toes as you are swimming. And watching ducks and other birds land and take off. Not to mention frogs....
Exactly!
And crabs, snapping turtles and whatnot!

Thanks for the advice. I’ve watched haulers eat fried chicken with sludge all over their hands, 🤢 The plague could wipe out every man woman and child on this planet and the only people left standing would be sludge haulers and cockroaches. Now considering the general population doesn’t bathe in human waste everyday, I’d suggest disregarding their opinion on the matter.

And I thought this thread would die already
