Can anyone recommend a clean hotel close to Dublin Airport please?

At the moment I am looking at Holiday Inn Express as it has transport included to and from the airport to hotel and a free breakfast buffet.

Has anyone ever stayed here and do you have any pictures please?

Does Dublin Airport have any on site hotels? I havent been for a few years now and I think a lot has changed over the past few years.

Thanks xx

We stayed at the Clayton (formerly Bewleys) in August. http://www.claytonhoteldublinairport.com/
I paid £69.57 for a triple room less 12% cashback = £61.22
Free bus from airport and back but no breakfast included.
We drank in the hotel which had a really nice bar area, I thought reasonable prices for a hotel airport. End of night got a couple of pieces of cheesecake, can of coke and sausage roll to take to the room, came to about £7.
It was sligtly further from the airport than I expected, probably 10 mins away.

Thanks Wayne. Ill have a look. Was it quidco for cash back? Did you book dorect or via Expedia or someone similar?

Had a nightmare today. I logged onto BA online to check the times of our flights as wanted to get some car rental prices and our out bound journey had disappeared.

Called BA and it had been cancelled by them as there was less than 1hr 30 mins for us to transfer planes as we are flying Dublin to Heathrow to Miami.

They told us a couple of weeks ago that our flight time had changed so it was 10 mins earlier which took our connection time to 1hr 25 mins but no email or text to say our flight had been automatially cancelled.

Im funing. I was on the phone over an hour and a half and although we're now on the earlier flight at 7.40am we didnt want the flight this early and didnt choose to book this one originally as we didnt want to be up so early with flying into Miami and driving from there to Orlando.

I booked it with Last minute via Quidco.

Nightmare when flights change. I have had an email from Delta this week to say our flights have changed coming back from Atlanta in April. We now only have 50 mins to change in Amsterdam. I am not going to change it, if we miss the connection they will get us on another flight. Although there is plenty of time before April for them to do many more changes.

We didnt change it!

I was happy with 1 hour 25 mins BA cancelled the flight and didnt tell us.

The only reason I found out it had been cancelled was because I phoned up as it wasnt showing in our online itinerary.

Now as we only have exactly 1 hour 30 mins it might change again and they might not tell us again!!!

Ive just looked at Claytons and I want to book on your recommendation it but its £109 for the 11th Aug next year. I will keep checking to see if the price changes :0)

things you need to look for when booking hotels at Dublin airport

Onsite V Near
The onsite hotels are
http://www.maldronhoteldublinairport.com/
I have stayed here a few times. Free 24 hour shuttle to Terminals, closet hotel to terminals, not sure about breakfast, but food outlets after security in both terminals open around 5am Very reasonable rates

https://www.radissonblu.com/en/hotel-dublinairport
Free 24 hour shuttle , breakfast included, little bit more expensive than Maldron

Offsite

Website says 2 minutes from the airport but I have stayed here and it was more like 10 minutes from the hotel to terminal. Nice hotel with reasonable rates. 24 free hour shuttle, not sure about breakfast

10 minutes from the terminals, no free shuttle, you pay the driver €1 on each journey. I have stayed here, nice hotel but would not be my first choice

These are the hotels I would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay at the airport. You need to be careful when checking hotels, may say near Dublin Airport but may be anything up to 20 minutes away from the terminals. Check them on Google maps, and see exactly where they are located in relation to the airport. Any hotel that has Swords in the address is north of the airport, any hotel that has Ballymun or Finglas in the address is south of the airport.

I stayed at http://www.claytonhoteldublinairport.com/ this year. It is about 15 minutes from the terminals. I found it a very tired, shabby looking hotel.

The Holiday In Express is actually about 20 minutes from the terminals. It is not one I would recommend for anyone flying / from the airport.

We had no issues at all at the Clayton but read other reviews. Hotel.com have it at £84 for your date less 12% = £72 booked via Quidco app & Hotel.com mobile.site. I booked using this option last night for 2 rooms in Nashville, cashback tracked at 12% within minutes.
I booked 13th Jan for 5th August this year, maybe wait until new year and see if any offers on then.

Just had a look and that does look like a good deal. The only thing im a bit confused on is the cashback...it says 10% for online bookings and 12% for mobile bookings which I assumed it meant via the App however in the terms and conditions it says that cashback isnt paid on app bookings? See below!!

  • Cashback will not be paid when making a purchase using the Hotels.com app.
  • Please also see the retailer's standard terms and conditions for purchase as listed on their site.
  • Cashback will not be paid in conjunction with any other offer, voucher or discount code unless listed on this page, or with any other discounts such as staff or student discounts
  • Cashback may not be paid on VAT, delivery, card payment fees, taxes or any other additional charges

You use the Quidco app on your phone, click on the link which then opens Hotels.com mobile site (not their app) it then tracks at 12% on the whole amount. I originally booked on Booking.com night before, theirs tracked at 3% but only on the base rate, not on the taxes. I cancelled and rebooked on Hotels.com when they lowered their price overnight.

This was mine from the other night:
16 Dec 15
Hotels.com
£930.73
£111.69 Tracked
