Get em before they are gone! Delta is offering a limited number of seats for $76 round trip for Jan, Feb, March, May, June, & July. I paid $155 per person for our fares a couple weeks ago, with the fares they have right now we both could have flown for the price of one. :sad1:

That's a heck of a deal. Wish I hadn't preplanned so far in advance.

You and me both. I keep running it through their site to see if maybe it's an error, but noooo. And there is a $150 change fee so no luck there.:confused3

That's flippin impressive. Just for the heck of it, I checked 5/28-6/6 and got $70 pp (taxes & fees bumps it to $91pp).

I thought the $144 RT pp I got was pretty good. Too bad I don't fly out of DTW.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw those fares this morning. WOW! Been texting DH back and forth about going in March. We've got DVC points we need to use by end of May, and was hoping to be able to go or else have to rent my points. We're in NW Ohio and would normally fly out of Dayton or Columbus, but Detroit is only a half an hour further for us than Columbus and at those rates very worth it.

Well I certainly hope I can help someone take advantage of them, then I won't feel so bad about not getting them myself. ~:)~

It wouldn't have helped me, unfortunately (my dates are still $250RT) but hopefully someone can cash in.

Has anyone actually been able to book it? I've been trying since noon and get as far as the checkout for it to tell me "that fare has changed, the new fare is $261.xx". Just got off the phone with Delta support and their explanation is that the fare published on the website is a computer glitch. :headache:

Looks like fares are back up to what they normally are. This morning I took it all the way to entering my cc info and the fare remained low, tried several dates, etc. Should have known it was too good to be true. I've edited the title so as to not get peoples hopes up.

I guess, from the response I got to my rather strongly worded complaint, it was intended to be a very limited sale price and the system didn't revert to the normal price when the allotted seats were sold. I'm not entirely satisfied with that response, because it seems to me dishonest to have an invalid rate up on the web site for an entire day (and I spent 4+ hours off and on trying to book it, along with two calls to their customer service and a live chat session with an agent before getting this final answer), but that's the story Delta is offering up. :sad2:

That's interesting because the reason I knew about it is because I have daily emails from Kayak and they listed it through at least 4 different sites, Orbitz, Expedia, etc. And like I said, I clicked through on a couple sites and they all came up with the low price. That's just frustrating.

Sometimes, an airline will incorrectly load the fares they publish to the aggregator/search sites, but when you try to book it, the aggregator has to actually talk to the airline's ticketing system, and then you see the correct "internal" price. This happens sometimes with AirTran, and perhaps that is what happened here as well. It is frustrating when it happens, but thankfully doesn't happen *too* often.

We got tickets for Feb 20 and return on Feb 25 DTW-MCO for $105 plus tax..

Thanks OP

If you want to push the issue, DOT's consumer complaint form can be found at http://airconsumer.dot.gov/CP_AirlineService.htm. Airlines can be fined serious $$$ for shenanigans like this, although that doesn't help you get the ticket...
