Just got RT for $177 on NW for the last week of August. For the last few weeks it has been around $205. Hope this helps someone!

Thanks, we need to fly out of DTW the last week of August and that is the best fare I've seen so far. I was hoping for lower, don't know if I should hold out or book it. Did you book yours?

I did book it. I think it was $155 or so, and the tax brought it up to $177. I figure that is less than $80 each way, which is as low as I've seen it on SW, and ATA. I'd prefer to fly NW just to get the miles (not for the service):rotfl2:

FYI, we are from Northville, going 8/28-9/2.

Hmm...NWA lately has been beating all of the low cost carriers (SW excluded) on the MCO routes...

Yah, I might have to pull the trigger on this one, we are from Novi/Northville schools and will be going on a 4 day Disney cruise first then doing a couple of days in WDW before coming back for school. We want to fly down 8/25 and come back 9/2. Thanks for the notice, we'll be down there at the same time, where are you guys staying? I might even know you or your kids depending on what school you guys are at, small world huh?

Well, so much for that, I guess you snooze, you lose! :headache: I went back to double check the flights and amounts and the prices are back up to $197 in a couple of hours. :confused3
Bummer, will have to keep checking for that cheaper flight, hopefully it won't continue to raise in price.:surfweb:

I did have to travel at less than optimal times to get that rate. We are going down on Monday at 7pm, because my oldest has "transition day" at Meads mill on Monday, and I would hate for her to miss this (first year of middle school). My other daughter is at Winchester (3rd grade). Coming back on Sun at 8:20am. Other flights that day were much higher.

We are thinking with free dining, to stay at a moderate. In the past, we've stayed at the deluxes. I can't decide if we should stay at CBR, POR, CSR!!!

Help! We love the Caribbean, but the resort seems huge. The POR gets great reviews, but the theming doesn't appeal to me. CSR is reported to have the best pool for older kids (great slide), but it also is a huge resort!!

Any thoughts or experiences??

Northwest drives me crazy. I get tacked another $50 just because the plane puddle jumps over to Michigan from Milwaukee. NW hardly has any direct flights from Milwaukee to Orlando. You either puddle jump to Detroit or MN. If I drove to Detroit, it would take 8 hours-so that is not feasable either.

My kids are currently at Moraine, but will be moving to Thornton Creek with the boundary readjustments next year. Sorry, can't help with the resort choices as we have not stayed at any of your picks. We have always stayed at the WL, last time at the WLV through renting from a DVC owner. We love it at the WL, but this time we are going to try out the Dolphin because we are already splurging on the cruise first. If they come out with free dining for our dates, I will have to reevaluate, but for right now I'm excited to check out the Dolphin for some place different to stay and reviews are pretty good.:goodvibes

You will love the cruise! We did it a few years back, and thought it was great.
If there is no free dining, we are staying at the Dolphin also! We have a reservation there, "just in case" with the teacher discount. If free dining , we will stay at one of the disney resorts. We've stayed at BC, WL, Poly, and AKL.... I'm a little concerned about a moderate, especially the double beds!

That's funny, I have the nurse discount applied at the Dolphin! SW had some great ding fares for DTW to MCO yesterday, but only through July. I really hope I can get some decent airfare, I'm checking it every day and would love to just get the reservations over with so I can keep planning this trip.:surfweb:
