DTD to Water Park??

What's the easiest/quickest way to get from DTD (Disney Quest) to one of the Water Parks? TIA. :goodvibes

Using Disney Transportation-

To Blizzard Beach:

Take a bus to either Old Key West Resort -or- Pop Century Resort,
then take a bus from there to Blizzard Beach.

To Typhoon Lagoon:

Take a bus from DTD to Typhoon Lagoon.

According to an app that I have:

DTD to Blizzard Beach:

Fastest- walk to SSR and then take a bus to Blizzard Beach (35 min)
You can also take a boat to OKW and then a bus to Blizzard Beach (43 minutes)
You can also take a bus and do the same.

DTD to Typhoon Lagoon:

Direct bus there takes 15 minutes

Thanks!! So there's a direct bus from DTD to typhoon lagoon? I didn't realize that. What app do you have, may I ask? Thanks again. :goodvibes

For the first few hours in the morning the buses go Resort >> Typhoon Lagoon >> Downtown Disney >> Resort. This is because most people for those buses are going to TL. Starting two or three hours after TL opens, the buses change so they go Resort >> Downtown Disney >> Typhoon Lagoon >> Resort as more people are going back to the Resorts from Typhoon than are going there.

I'm not sure how it works for Blizzard Beach.

When going to Blizzard Beach the bus also shared with the Animal Kingdom, so when transferring at a resort that's the bus you need to get one. However in my experience the buses went to Blizzard Beach after they dropped everyone off at the Animal Kingdom, so it was always the 2nd stop.

It varies by resort. At some resorts, Blizzard Beach shares with the Studios instead.

That varies by resort and probably by time of year and number of guests. It's not always the Animal Kingdom bus.

Varies by resort. For some resorts, BB shares with the Studios. It's located between the Studios and the Animal Kingdom.

Question:

Does it vary by resort?

Answer: Several times it told me my answer had failed to post, and I tried again, and it told me again ... and yes, I know sometimes it posts even though it says it didn't, so yes, I looked to see if it had or not! And it hadn't!

Those are time-stamped about 9:45 pm my time ... when I went to bed at 11 pm, those comments had not appeared yet. I mean, when I went to bed, this thread was already almost off the bottom of the page because there hadn't been any new comments since CR_Resort_Fan_4_Life's.

Yes.

The DISboard was definitely having some "technical issues" last night.

I was just "funnin'" with ya! :goodvibes

Well when it comes to the Magic Kingdom Resorts the Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach always share the same bus route, because that's what it's always been like from the start and has never changed.

When the bus system started, Blizzard Beach wasn't open yet, so no, that's not "what it's always been like from the start." And there are some resorts where, if one transferred there, one would have to get on the Studios bus and *not* the AKL bus. For example, at Port Orleans, which is the closest resort to DTD and a logical place to transfer.

Don't tell people "when transferring at a resort, you need to get on the AKL bus" when what you mean is "when transferring AT A MAGIC KINGDOM RESORT, you need to get the AKL bus, but when transferring at a resort closer to DTD you actually need to get on the Studios bus."

How could a bus from DTD to Typhoon Lagoon take 15 minutes?
They're across the street from each other.

I find those "transportation apps" to be overly pessimistic.

They tend to do that to account for likely delays of many kinds.

Once underway, of course, the trips are actually shorter than stated.
Usually MUCH shorter.

As an example, one of the longest runs from resort-to-park is AKL to MK.

Even that long run, once underway, usually only takes about 15-17 minutes for the on the road portion.
But figure much longer due to boarding delays (wheelchairs are common) X-amount of time to disembark, plus waits for bus arrivals and delays for other variables.

All I did was post what I have seen in the past when it comes to which bus guests need to get on a bus for Blizzard Beach, so all I did was post what I have seen. Also when I said it's been like that since it started, I meant it's been like that since the Animal Kingdom was opened in 1998.
