I scored an ADR at 1900PF 90 minutes after our BBB appt in DTD. Trying figure out time frame and logistics of getting from DTD to GF.
Here are my questions:

1) what's the latest time you'd trust disney transportation to get you to ADR? (From DTD to GF, ADR @ 4:35pm)
2) how long would it take for cab ride from DTD to GF?
3) how do you transport a preschooler in the cab? Obviously they don't have car seats...now does that work? (Sorry, this seems like a dumb question, but I just don't know!)

Thanks in advance!

Cabs are readily available from DTD and the ride is about 20 mins. The timing for the bus transportation is a crap shoot. You can get very lucky and a bus can be waiting for you or you can have my experience where you wait 45 mins for a bus because you just missed one. I am guessing toddlers become lap children but I just don't know.

I was under the impression that car seats are required for taxis for some children (not sure the exact weight/age requirements in Florida). Some taxis will have car seats, others will not. You can request a taxi with a car seat, but be aware that it can take quite a while for the taxi to show up. Unless a car seat equip taxi is right there waiting, it's probably faster to take the bus in this case.

Children age 3 and under are required to be in a car seat. Children 4 and over are not. Some cabs have car seats.

Honestly, I think it's going to be very difficult to make it on time with a cab. You would have to rush out of the BBB and right into a cab. You absolutely won't make it with the bus.

Well...that certainly changes things. Thanks so much for the info.

90 minutes after the start time of the BBB appointment? Or 90 minutes after the expected completion of the BBB appointment?

90 minutes after he appointment time was what I meant in op but since you asked and I gave it a second thought I actually have more time. BBB appt at 2pm, ADR at 1900PF at 4:35 pm. Doable?

I actually think its doable. Your BBB appt should be about an hour. So yes, you have 90 mins to get to the GF. That shouldn't be an issue using the bus. Not to mention....last June, my dd and I had an ADR at 1900 Park Fare....I was at the MK bus stop at AoA 90 mins prior to our ADR. We had planned to do some shopping before eating. Well......we ended up being almost 20 mins late for our ADR. There was no issue, we were still seated. You should have little problem getting there in time. But even if you are a bit late, you should still be seated.

I hate to be a wet blanket. But we've done BBB twice and we've never gotten in at our appointment time. One time we waited about 30 min and the other time we waited closer to an hour. So that really narrows down your window. The only time I think you can count on getting in at your appointment time is at opening. But maybe you can let them know at the podium when you check in that you have a reservation:confused3

Another option is to rent a car just for the day.

We waited almost 30 mins past our reservation time at BBB. Don't plan on getting in on time.

You will have to take a cab, bus won't get you there on time.

Checked on a whim and found a 5:30 opening at 1900PF...I'm thinking that change was just what we needed. Thanks so much to everyone here for your input!
