Can you take a boat from DTD to one of the Boardwalk hotels? If so which one and where can i find it?

DTD has boat service only to Saratoga Springs Resort, Old Key West, and the Port Orleans resorts.

Well then I might just take the boat ride to POR for the fun of it and take the bus to one of the resorts at the boardwalk. Thx!

Except I don't believe you can take a bus from one resort to another unless they are on the same bus line, like a "sister" resort. If you are at DTD and want a boat ride, and go the Boardwalk, maybe you should take a bus from DTD to any of the EPCOT resorts, then find the boat dock. That boat will take you all around the area, including a stop at MGM and EPCOT.

No, there are no buses to the BW from the other resorts. You can get to the BW by bus from MK, AK, and DTD. You can get there by boat or walk from MGM and Epcot.

The only resorts that the BW boat stops at are Swan/Dolphin, and Beach/Yacht club.

If you are at a resort and you want to go to Boardwalk, then you will have to go to a park and transfer there. The easiest thing to do is to take your resort bus to MGM and either take the boat from there to BW or just walk along the canal on the sidewalk. It runs from MGM to Boardwalk. It takes about 15 mins or so and is a very pleasant walk. If you choose the boat, it could take longer...if a boat is just pulling away, it will be another 15 mins or so before the next one comes, then it takes about 15 mins to get to BW...the boat does make a few stops along the way. But it is very relaxing and if time is not an issue, it's a good way to go.

I am aware that the buses do not go from resort to resort. I just meant if I wanted a boat ride from DTD I will take the one to POR and back and then just take a bus to boardwalk. I am planning on touring the resorts that day and we are going to start at DTD. I know only some of the places go by boat to others and since we were going to head to the boardwalk first I was hoping we could do a boat ride there. It sounds like I could take a boat to MGM from the boardwalk and then go to another resort like AKL from the buses there. That way we can do a boat ride and see all the stuff we wanted to see.
Thanks for all the advice!

Ah! I love touring the resorts, especially at Christmas time. This is how I do it. I head to MGM, and then walk to BW, then BC/YC, and the S/D. Then I head to Epcot. Or head to Epcot and then do the resort run.
For the MK resorts, I head to MK, then hop on the monorail and check out the CR, Polynesian, and the GF. If I have time, I'll take the boat to WL, and then back.
If I'm at AK, I take the bus to AKL..one of my favorite resorts to visit.
And you obviously have the DTD to POR run all figured out!!
Have fun...it's a great thing to do, and a nice way to relax. Especially good if you have plenty of time and aren't concerned with missing 'park time'!!
