I would like to take my DS to a DTD restaurant in August, but I'm not sure which one.... I'm thinking ESPN Zone because of the arcade, etc., but maybe there is a better choice? He's 12 and is pretty adventurous in eating. We've never eaten in DTD before, so this will be a first.... Any recommendations????

At the ESPN zone if he likes sports and arcades you won't have to worry about him eating.
If he's like my son he'll starve before stopping to eat.

He will love ESPN...games...food...:thumbsup2

Great - just signed up for the MVP club, so he'll get a couple of tokens to start off (I'm sure he'll be wanting more soon enough :lmao: ). Thanks for the heads up!!

and play he will, The food is ok, I'd suggest eating at The rain forest cafe, then heading over to the espn zone, there's no entry charge so you can let him play with a full stomach and you get to see 2 great DTD places.

Since he is an adventurous eater I would recommend Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. My two boys (ages 7 and 11) really enjoyed the food and the piano player!

My son is 12 and over the past 6 years that he has been going to DL, he loves Rainforest, ESPN Zone, and Jazz Kitchen! ESPN is his favorite because he loves to play in the arcade upstairs while waiting for dinner!

We tried ESPN Zone in DTD for the first time on our trip earlier this year. (It is much better than the one in Baltimore.) We had 6 kids with us (age 4 to age 14) and they all loved it. The food choices were good and the service was EXCELLENT - which was very surprising - good service in a busy restaurant is hard to find these days. The kids had fun playing upstairs, but honestly we didn't play for very long as the games are expensive. Also, a parent is required to be with the kids so you will need to accompany him while he is playing games. I felt that my 14 and 13 year olds who are well behaved could play a game alone while I was down the aisle with my 4 and 6 year olds, but ESPN felt differently about that so make sure you plan on going upstairs with him If you are looking for a good meal, that is the place to go - MUCH better than Rainforest Cafe which we found to be completely bereft of good food.
