DTD question

i hear there is an entrance to DTD from the main plaza entrances to DL and DCA. is there another entrance as well?

we may want to go to DTD on the night we arrive, but we don't want to use a park hopping day to do it.

You don't have to use your hopper to get into DTD. There is a central "esplanade" in between DCA and DL. You cross through this esplanade to get to DTD. No ticket required to get into the esplanade area. Make sense? You will, however, need to pass through security to get into the esplanade.

cool cool the day we get there we want to do disney stuff but not in park..we were thinking dtd would be good

Besides the main plaza entrance, there IS an entrance on the opposite end of DTD by the Disneyland Hotel. The movie theatre is on that end, so if where you're staying is closer to that end, you may want to get in that way. Here's a map to show you:

The movie theatre is actually that large whitish building to the right of the "8" on the map. The street running to the right of the movie theatre is Disneyland Drive and the hotel on the left of it is the Disneyland Hotel.
