I had always wondered why the parking lot at DTD was so full. I have to say I think it's crazy to waste so much time.
it's about $260 for (2 adults, and 2 children) to get into the parks per day (1 day passes). Which means (you are staying off site, so no EMH for you) about 12 hours (9am-9pm) or you are spending 21.75 $/hr to visit the parks. $10 to park is less than 1/2 hour of your families time (27 minutes and 35 seconds, if I did that right.)
I wonder if they could empty out the DTD parking lot by not charging for parking, and increasing ticket prices by some small amount. Also Disney can't be making that much off parking any more, I look at the park areas and they are all 25% fill on any given day, and when ever I drive though the booths they are always waving people in.
