DTD parking question

I wasn't sure if this belonged in the Theme Parks forum so mods please move it if there's a better place for it.

We're heading down to Disney next week (yay!) and one thing I'm a little concerned about is getting to DTD, a place where we always visit a couple of times during our trip. I've heard all of the reports of what a mess it is but I've also heard that there is parking available across the street.

Can you clarify the parking situation for me? Where exactly is the "across the street" parking? Is that lot always available or just at certain times? Will I be able to drop off my family and then go park the car so only I have to walk back?

Any info would be appreciated.

Those links suggest that there is parking at SunTrust, Casting, and Team Disney, but they aren't clear on if those options are available all the time or just at designated "busy" times. We will avoid Friday and Saturday night for sure. What about during the week, like Tuesday afternoon or Thursday morning or Wednesday evening? Are those options available anytime.

We took a cab to avoid parking last Monday at 5pm and I can pretty much guarantee there was plenty of parking. DTD was deserted. Lol. And this was right before the evening showers.. I'm going to say either all the construction has scared everyone away or people just are avoiding DTD in the evening due to the daily showers..

I would say drive, and try to park in the marketplace parking lot.. There will definitely be parking in the back the cirque show..

It is my understanding ( and that bank branch is my home bank branch ) that the places you are asking about would be for the weekends and the nights NOT for regular business hours M to F If you can go on a weekday morning that is what I would do and park in the regular lots..early.
