Hi all! I need some help.... can anyone tell me if the Lego Store in DTD sells the Lego people individually and not in kits? If so, how much are they? I am really looking for the Lego Batman people.

Unfortunately no. My kids make several trips there each trip and love collecting lego people. The lego store pretty much carries the same thing as lego.com. The last time we were there, they had a bucket of lego people parts where you could make your own lego people. They were mostly generic lego people and not themed. I think they were around $3 each.
Thanks. That is really to bad... it seems that Lego Batman is really in demand this year and the sets that we are looking for are sold out on Lego.com. Well I will have to keep looking.... thanks so much for the information!
My kids love LEGO Batman too! We looked when we were in DTD early summer for the Batman characters only and had no luck either. They are hard to find. Amazon had some, but they were awfully expensive.
The prices on Amazon are terrible right now... they are four & five times more then Lego.com would sell them for. We found that the local Super Walmart is supposed to carry them but they are sold out too.

None of the specialty mini-figures (Batman, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc..) are sold individually. They have licensing agreements that prohibit selling the mini-figures individually. It also allows Lego to jack up the price on the specialty kits that do include those characters.... the price on specialty kits per piece is significantly higher than the price per piece on bulk kits.
We try to buy mostly the bulk Legos and then some of the smaller specialty kits. You won't find anything at DTD Lego that you can't get at http://www.lego.com.
The DTD Lego store did have a table where you could build your own mini-figure (with general parts, none of the specialty licensed parts). So, basically, you pick one of the basic heads, a middle, legs, and then one accessory (like a hat, cup for the guy to hold, etc..). It was $2.99, if I recall, which is pretty over-priced compared to buying those parts bulk from the "Bulk Bricks" section of http://www.lego.com, but isn't such a bad souvenir for a kid whose parents don't want to drop a lot of money at the Lego store.
as a side note they do make lego minifig key chains. I think they are around $4. This is on Lego.com I am not sure about DTD Lego store. I recently bought some and took of they key ring and chain. Then I turned them into necklaces. My boys love love love them and so do all their friends. My boys are 8 and 10.
