OK, I'll admit I've never stayed off site since I was a kid, so I'm totally out off my depth here. I want to go one more time with our APs this year (will probably not get back till next year). But, I need a great deal to make this happen. Would like to go May 31-June 2. Dh will not stay value at DW, and won't stay off site. I'm thinking DTD isn't really offsite, right? We always drive, so transportation isn't an issue. Which are the nicest DTD hotels and do they have any specials going for my time frame or around those dates? Thanks for all responces.

we just stayed at the Best Western DTD for a couple of nights. we got a $60.00 rate from hotwire. I'd stay there again at that price.

Check out mousesavers.com for some deals. I booked Doubletree Suites for $85/night & free breakfast for our August trip through the site. I think the rates are more like $129 for June. We moved our trip to the 2nd week in August to get the $85 rate.

My Dh can be a hotel snob, too. However, we would go back to a Disney value resort over of of the DTD resorts, or any other non-Disney. No question, they just know how to take care of you better.

Will be at Doubletree Suites Saturday night for first night of our trip (next 3 nights staying at OKW using our DVC points but don't want to "waste" Sat. night points!). We are using HiltonHonors points for the Doubletree stay so it will have to be REALLY bad for me not to be ok with it for the $$$ saved. We have stayed there before and thought it was perfectly fine for the first night...HUGE suites with 3 TVs. Especially if you have a car, it is just no big deal to get where you need to go (and for us, the first night, that is only Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk area, and the grocery store!)

the Hilton is the only DD that participates in EMH.

I would stay at a value if you want that plus DME.

oh I have stayed all over WDW.

now the value resorts are a deluxe nor even a moderate. but if you know what they are - I don't think you will be disappointed.

the Pop can be alot of fun....look around the place - full of memories....

here is a website for the DD
