We are staying at SSR. My oldest adult daughter is joining us but wants to stay offsite and won't have a car. Are any of the hotels near DTD walking distance to the boat docks? We don't want to make it too difficult for her to meet up with us.

TIA for any information you can share.

Hotels are closest to marketplace, not west side. I would recommend looking at google maps so you can see the hotels that are more walkable than others.

Wyndham, Hilton and Buena Vista Palace are the shortest walks. Depending where you are at Saratoga, Buena Vista could be walkable to your room.

Located off SR 535 in Lake Buena Vista is the entrance to DTD. This is called Hotel Plaza Blvd. From the entrance to DTD is one mile in distance. There are many hotels located on this road, many in easy walking distance to DTD. Take I-4 west for the proper exit for 535.

I did look at Google maps but wasn't sure if, like some other destinations, the hotels look close actually aren't. I'm specifically thinking of Vegas where it can be a 20 minute walk between just 2 hotels because they're so huge.

I mentioned the west side because I believe the SSR boats are going there rather than marketplace. Buena Vista looks like it fits better than trying to use the boats.

thank you!

How good were these sales? Specifically, what was the Hilton in DTD going for? Thx.

If the rates were the same as they were about a month ago when the DTD hotels were on sale, the Hilton was starting at $89/night (plus resort fee). I booked the Doubletree Suites under that sale for $109/night.

I see tonight the Hilton is $99 and the Wyndham is $103 a night and the Royal Plaza is $79. depending on when she is going AAA has a room rate for the Disney All Stars Sport resort for $113 for the month of June. They she would have free access to Disney transporation and should not have problems meeting up with you. She will get free transporation to and from the resort.

there were 3 hotels that were $69 a night - BWLBV (my favorite of them),
holiday inn (I think) and Wyndham

sorry you missed it.
