How are the decorations at Down town Disney?? Is it really lit up at night?

I haven't been there at night, but during the day I saw garlands and such on buildings and posts. There aren't a whole lot of places that they can decorate. Santa's meet and greet area was set up. They were also playing Christmas music.

Sounds like it is set up like a basic outside mall

If you are looking for outstanding Christmas decor, and a little shopping, and perhaps dining --resort hop to the deluxe resorts.
There is some of the well known Disney magic of the holidays.
